Each unique petal is touched with a lovely pink blush stippling on a creamy reverse, and there are up to 60 petals per bloom to study! This vigorous, modern Hybrid Tea holds her pretty, fully double blooms singly at the ends of long, sturdy stems. Blooming starts in late spring and will continue through fall for plenty of delightful cut flowers! The clear pink booms carry a light scent and vibrant backdrop of green foliage.

Exceptionally hardy, disease-resistant modern Rose bushes, hybridized by Christian Bedard, Painted Porcelain Rose bushes produce high-centered buds that open into a painterly beauty. At the height of summer, the blooms flush even brighter pink...a fabulous contrast against the clean, glossy foliage. Growing throughout USDA hardiness zones 6 through 9, these are incredibly easy-going shrubs!

Planting and Application:

Go ahead and buy your sweetheart this Rose bush instead of a single bouquet, you'll give something far better value in the long run!

Mix Painted Porcelain™ Roses with extended blooming perennials for long-lasting flower power. Add a row of these pretty maids as a gorgeous backdrop for a Cottage Garden or a barrier along your property line as a thorned first line of defense to defer foot traffic.

You can also keep this beauty in oversized garden containers for a focal point on your balcony. Go ahead and talk to her, you'll be surprised how easily Painted Porcelain Rose becomes a "plant pet". In fact, with modern disease resistance that comes from great genetics, she'll be a perfect choice for beginning Rose lovers.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Modern Rose bushes must have good air circulation and plenty of sunshine, with at least 6 hours of direct sun per day. This shrub Rose grows best in slightly acidic, well-drained soil. Roses appreciate plenty of Rose food to keep them blooming. Give them a slow-release fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer to support all those pretty blooms.

Apply a medium amount of even moisture to keep the soil moist, but not wet. Use a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system to keep it nice and cool. This is especially true of container-grown plants or those in raised beds. Cut down on your maintenance by installing an automatic drip irrigation system. It's easy, and the results are well worth it!

Rarely in need of pruning, wait until early spring to prune back last year's growth down to 12 inches. Remove any broken, crossing, or winter-damaged branches. Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall after the frost killed the leaves for best overwintering. Find more about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prize Rose bush!
