To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

No garden should be without a few Nandina plants, and the Twilight Nandina PP#2602S (Nandina domestica 'Twilight') is definitely a standout in the Nandina family. You might know Nandinas from their more common name - Heavenly Bamboo. This is a bit of a misnomer as these plants aren't really Bamboo, but relatives of Berberis (Barberry) plants.
They are heat-hardy and broadleaf evergreen year-round, though they are so much more than 'green'! Typically they are known for their deep green leaves that change to fiery reds and golds as new growth emerges, but Twilight Nandina bucks this trend and adds a fine variegated elegance to your garden with pinkish bronze new growth that becomes light green leaves mottled with ice-white.
The colors intensify in the fall and winter, and these are bushy, but erect plants that produce sparse white flowers and occasionally produce red berries. Like other Nandina, Twilight is evergreen in warm climates, and in cooler USDA planting zones 6-9, Nandina can be semi-evergreen and even deciduous, growing 3-4 feet in height and width.
Planting and Application:
Plant Twilight as showy specimens and groupings for an especially beautiful effect where the variegation seems to just shimmer! The bright bi-color mixes well with almost everything in your garden border, Cottage garden, and mixed Perennial borders as a colorful backdrop! Neat and tidy, these create gorgeous low hedges without the hard work and pruning.
The lacy foliage and color mix well with conifers, dark foliage shrubs, and Roses! They fit into so many landscape styles we're sure they will look great in your garden, too! Use as mid-sized hedges and property division, separating your front yard from the street, or your backyard from the nosy neighbor.
Twilight shines in the mixed shrub border or in patio containers. Pot up in large half whiskey barrels or go upscale by planting several in evenly spaced urns to add height to your garden beds or make your front steps really stand out!

These adaptable shrubs are easy to care for and grow in full sun or shaded conditions. In very hot areas, give them shade in the afternoon. Nandina needs well-drained soil, and water carefully to establish, and provide supplemental water only during long periods of drought from then on. Add 3-4 inches of arborist mulch over the root system to keep it cool.
Urban pollution-tolerant, disease, and pest-resistant plants, this Nandina has an upright, compact nature, far smaller than that of other varieties. Plus it won't require any special care from you, and it's even drought-tolerant once established!
