Snowbelle is a multi-stemmed plant that grows upright and Mock Orange has many uses in the landscape. Cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, these smaller shrubs mature at 3-4 feet in height and width!

Planting and Application:

Soften up existing landscaping with these small flowering shrubs. Snowbelles can be added on the sunny side of Lilac bushes or tall evergreen trees. Mix with other later flowering plants, like Roses, to add color and fragrance to your garden.

Plant in the ground or use in large outdoor containers that match your home's exterior for a coordinating boost of style. Or, go bold with large outdoor planters on either side of your front yard. Snowbelle is a perfect fit for a year-round Thriller. Style it any way you like.

Low hedges help define your garden space. Use several Snowbelles along the length of your patio, or up the front sidewalk. Plant them 2 feet apart on center to create a solid hedge. Measure from the center of one to the center.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Give Snowbelle a spot in full sun or partial shade. In Zones 7 and 8, it may do best in the morning sun and afternoon shade. Mulch the plant to 3 to 4 inches deep and spread mulch out 3 feet from the outside of the canopy. This will keep the root system cool and cut down on surface evaporation. Snowbelle Mock Orange is adaptable to many soil types, but they must be well-drained. If you see puddles that remain long after a rainstorm, add soil in a heaped mound 18 - 24 inches above the lay of your land. Plant directly in that mound. Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. When planted properly, the plant can tolerate brief periods of drought, and it is deer resistant. This carefree beauty has no real pest or disease problems.

Train your shrubs to produce plenty of side branches with yearly pruning right after the flowers fade. Do a simple pinching back after the flowers are finished to encourage lateral buds to develop. This will help your shrub develop a full, bushy growth habit over time. Simply snip off the last few inches of every branch; it should take you about 5 minutes. Let's face it. If doing that little garden job gives you more of those luscious flowers next year, it's worth it!
