#ProPlantTips for Care:
Choose a location with full shade in the hottest climates and a touch of partial sun in the coolest growing zones. You'll have a better display of color when given at least 4-6 hours of sunlight a day. Any well-draining highly organic soil type is perfect and regular fertility helps keep these plants healthy. Water regularly during the hottest weather but keep the soil from being soggy to avoid the corm from rotting.
Caladium being tropical plants, should be planted in the spring with their 'eyes' facing up and about 2 inches below the soil surface. Space them about 5-10 inches apart depending on how dense you wish your end result to look. Water well and add bulb fertilizer, keeping the soil evenly moist.
Trim away leaves as they become tattered or yellowed and once all foliage has died back in the fall, dig up your corms and store them as you would Canna and Dahlias.
