Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Although Mini Nectar Babe is a small tree, you'll still have plenty of fruit for a mid-season harvest. Add another tiny variety, like Honey Babe Peach, for even larger yields.

They'll look so cute growing as a pair. You'll be thrilled with the showy display of fragrant, pale pink flowers in springtime.

Why not spark conversation by planting one on either side of your front door? Use as hard-working sentries at the opening to an outdoor kitchen or dining room. You and your guests can track their development from flower to fruit.

Invite them back to help you with the harvest! Pick and eat them fresh from your tree. Use a few to flavor homemade nectarine ice cream during a memorable evening with "foodie" friends.

Cook with them. Add to salads, smoothies and sauces for pork and chicken for a bright, bold flavor. The firm flesh holds up in delicious baked tarts, cobblers and pies.

The freestone pulls away quickly and cleanly. In no time, you can prep the fruits for canning or freezing for later use. There is nothing like the satisfying feeling of being prepared.

How to Use Mini Nectar Babe Nectarine Tree in the Landscape

Even in a tiny yard, there are bound to be several spots to use these versatile, bushy trees. Anywhere you have a sun is a great choice!

Use several as an incredible planting in a mulched bed. Plant them where you'll notice them, perhaps near the patio. Take advantage of their dense canopy as a privacy screen!

If you have the room, add two or more spaced four feet apart in a row as a hedgerow. They'll grow together and touch. Measure from the trunk of one to the trunk of the next.

Use as a fruiting backdrop to your modern Victory Garden. Create garden "walls" around an outdoor Yoga retreat. Or...simply hide the neighbors garbage cans with a few of these sweet miniature trees.

#ProPlantTips for Care

Nectarines need a planting site in full sun with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Morning sunlight is best, as it quickly dries off the foliage to keep your trees healthy.

Ensure your planting site has well-drained soil. If you see puddles long after a rainfall, bring in additional soil in a mound 12 to 18 inches tall by 3 feet wide. Plant in that mound, or add a nice border and create a raised bed.

Proper air circulation is also important. Give 10 feet of space away from your home or other structure. It's great to give them a sheltered, frost-free spot, but be sure it's not sitting in an area that "traps" air.

Provide regular water, especially during the first season in your landscape. It will need a consistent schedule of water during fruit development each year. Water is also really important for containerized trees.

Use drip irrigation to make it easier. It's also a good idea to apply a thick layer of mulch over the root system. You'll cut down on surface evaporation and save on water costs.

Provide an all-purpose fertilizer in early spring, or top dress with well-rotted compost. You can apply an Orchard Spray for fruiting trees, as well. Please follow the directions on the label.

While there isn't an extensive need for pruning, you will want to eliminate crossing branches in late winter. The goal is to increase sunlight and air circulation in the canopy. Decide which branch you'll keep and remove the other entirely.

Enjoy the fun Mini Nectar Babe Nectarine in your landscape. Don't be surprised if you and the family start to consider it a "family pet."It is truly easy to love.
