Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Magic wands of the most dramatic fashion, the Magic Fountains Dark Blue White Bee Delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Dark Blue White Bee') has the most dramatic color you've ever seen! Big spikes full of large flowers fill these vertical bloomers with the deepest royal blue to dark royal purple blooms ever! Each with a bright pure white 'bee' in the center to highlight each floret, and dark near-black stamen. Like big blue eyes on tall waving wands for your pollinators and to add height and intrigue to the garden!
Magic Fountains Delphinium blooms all summer and if you are timely with deadheading, will rebloom for a second show in the late summer to fall! Each big, showy spike blooms from the bottom up, so you'll enjoy a long-lasting display! Arising from a dense cluster of lobed, deep-green foliage, Delphinium are a classic garden and cut flower plant for height, color, and big eye-catching displays!
Dark Blue White Bee Delphinium is a cold hardy herbaceous perennial that thrives in the sun and cold winters of USDA growing zones 3 through 7. Usually passed up by deer, the Hummingbirds and butterflies will be swarming these vertical blooms! When in bloom, each flower spike can reach 2-3 feet with ease and the foliage mounds can spread to 12-18 inches in width. The space-saving size means any garden can sneak one of these dramatic perennials into small yards or established landscapes alike!
Planting and Application:
Dark Blue White Bee Delphinium looks romantic when swaying among other perennials, especially with other wand-like blooms like Iris, Salvia and of course other Delphinium. Mixing well with other blues, white, purples, and pinks, while setting off red and yellow combinations! These blooms are sure to add punctuation to any garden flower combination without sacrificing space. Add bold color to a Cottage border or a Rock Garden with upright unearthly color! And no Butterfly garden should go without these incredible plants!
Planted in rows or in groupings maximizes their impact on the garden bed or border! Imagine a row of these undulating through a sunny border along your home's foundation, or along a pathway. These are head-turning back-of-the-border perennial plants and should be used to add depth, height, and dramatic color to the garden. Snip a few for the vase indoors for amazing bouquets, while also encouraging new flowers to form and take their place!
Magic Fountains is equally suitable in large planters and porch pots in the sun as a vertical thriller plant, so mix it with your annuals and spilling groundcovers of all colors for a porch pot that grabs all the attention!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Delphinium appreciates full sun and some afternoon shade in hotter climates. Plant in well-drained enriched soil with a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over the roots. Provide regular moisture all summer to support the big flowers.
The strong stems rarely need staking in protected areas, so they continue to stand tall, but in windy locations, a firm stake will help support their stems. Deadhead early enough and you’ll enjoy a rebloom until fall, then as the foliage turns yellow, prune back the mound close to the ground and water it in well one last time before the ground freezes.
It is recommended you wear gloves when handling these plants since some can develop skin sensitivity. Always monitor young pets and young children around Delphinium.
