Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Deep, dark-purple wands are held high upon slender stems. The almost royal blue flower spikes burst onto the scene each summer. Each fuzzy cluster of blooms has lighter violet-purple petals to create a lovely two-tone effect.

Hidcote produces fragrant spikes of intensely dark-purple flowers in the summer. These diminutive flowers produce the sweetest, purest lavender scent available!

The leaves open white, then turn a pale gray-blue-green color and then boasts 2½-inch, straight, downy leaves. The strong green of the mature leaves is the perfect backdrop for the deeply saturated blooms that follow each summer.

Hidcote English Lavender was previously selected as the International Herb Association Plant of the Year! Your garden guests and the flocks of butterflies, hummingbirds, and beneficial pollinators will all agree why!

One of the most famous of all herbs, Lavender is used most often in sachets in the home and for perfumes! Incredible cold hardiness and drought resistance sets Hidcote apart and proves it's not just another pretty face!

How to Use Hidcote English Lavender In The Landscape

Hidcote's dwarf growth habit makes it marvelous for those smaller urban gardens and when you just don't have much room! Tucking itself neatly anywhere you need that burst of color. Your nose might find it before your eyes do!

Perfect planted in continuous rows to line your garden beds and borders, as a neat and tidy edging because of its erect and compact growing habit. Hidcote will turn heads as a mass planting in those dry, sunny spots, filling in those gaps between other plants and creating a bold ribbon of color throughout the landscape.

Lavender is as perfectly at home in the English border or mixed perennial bed as it is in the cutting and pollinator gardens! It's a lovely cut flower for both fresh arrangements and dried floral bouquets. Imagine it in a nosegay with other fragrant flowers or a wreath of miniature Lavender blooms!

Its love for dryer conditions makes Hidcote a lovely addition to any rock garden and full sun location. Tuck it around your spring-planted bulbs without worry a larger plant will overtake them. Your bulb collection will only benefit from such an unobtrusive neighbor!

This delightful Lavender is tiny enough to tuck into window boxes and planters, it is the perfect patio container addition and even looks lovely as a houseplant on a windowsill!

Perfect for smaller herb knot gardens and of course, the kitchen garden!

A robustly growing herb, Hidcote is an adorable addition to a culinary garden. This lovely edible plant isn't just all great looks and sweet scent, it also imparts aromatic flavor to your favorite dishes!

Versatile in a wide range of culinary delights, no herb garden should be without it! Hidcote's aromatic foliage can be used in drinks, recipes, tasty syrups, and baked goods.

The sky's the limit for your craft projects, soaps, potpourri, and home decor! Make sachets of this aromatic herb to perfume your closets and drawers, imparting its fragrance everywhere! The sweet scent will fill your home!

A few tucked into your pillow will bring sweet dreams, or add Lavender to your bubble bath for a relaxing soak. To dry the flowers, pick when the blooms are just showing color but before fully open; tie in bunches and hang in a cool, airy place.

No matter how you use it, Hidcote English Lavender adds graceful form, gentle motion, soft texture, and of course, that refreshing fragrance to your landscape!

#ProPlantTips For Care

Hidcote Lavender grows best in well-drained soils, with neutral to alkaline pH. Also preferring an open, sunny spot, because lack of sunlight will cause a wide range of problems, as will poor drainage. Full sun is where Hidcote truly thrives.

Being highly drought-tolerant, less is more for Hidcote. Water consistently to establish and after that, only water during extreme drought. For better drainage, add sand in the hole when first planting to aid drainage further.

Trim back in spring to encourage bushier growth and remove any parts that died back during winter. Hidcote should be pruned back the first year. To encourage blooms to return all summer, be sure to deadhead after flowering.

Winter climates can rejoice because Hidcote is also one of the most cold-hardy varieties of Lavender available!

Deer and rabbit resistant, don't worry about them! Because Hidcote will only invite pollinators to drop by to visit!

Add amazing fragrance and color to your garden with a space-saving miniature wonder! You cannot go wrong with the addition of the mini yet mighty Hidcote English Lavender in your life!
