To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

These creeping foliage plants do wonderfully throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9, Stachys perennials mix and meld with all other flower and foliage plant colors, growing just 8 inches in height and spreading 1 - 2 feet in width.
Planting and Application:
Lamb's Ears are perfect for Moon gardens, glowing and shimmering in the partial sun landscape and in the moonlight alike! Add these touchable perennials to Sensory gardens and Children's gardens to enjoy their velvety beauty! The leaves add softness to bed and border edges, and add sterling filler and groundcover under larger shrubs and around larger perennial plants, while highlighting everything beautifully!
Their easy-going nature also has a rugged side, doing equally well in Rock Gardens and having some drought tolerance once established. The pretty textural plants look equally lovely in containers as spillers and fillers, looking adorably soft throughout partly shaded patios, in porch pots, and filling bare spots in mixed planters all growing season long!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Lamb's Ears need to be planted in partial sun/partial shade and appreciate morning sun locations to dry the leaves of dew, but protected from the hot summer sun with some afternoon shade. Especially in the hotter climates where summer's sun will take its toll on the soft leaves. Lamb's Ears may tolerate some full sun in cooler growing zones, but these perennials shrug off humid summers with ease.
You may find in hotter summers, that Lamb's Ears take a break and shrink away, Lamb's Ears revive and look splendid once again right until the winter's heavy frosts. Doing their best in a well-drained soil area, Stachys loves average moisture and good drainage. Water well during establishment periods and throughout the hottest summer months, however, Lamb's Ears is fairly drought tolerant once established as long as it has some protection from the sun.
A 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch to insulate the roots and prevent soil from splashing onto the leaves during rain, keeping them cleaner and reducing foliar disease issues. Spring clean-up is a breeze, trim the leaves away before new spring growth emerges.
- Partial Sun & Partial/Afternoon Shade Locations
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Prune Back In Spring
