To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Killarney Red Garlic is known for its soft pink wrapper streaked with purple with brightly colored cloves beneath.
This peppy garlic produces up to 9 cloves covered in beautiful orangey-brown peels that are easy to remove. Killarney Red Garlic heads grow to about 2-inches in diameter. Killarney Red Garlic is a reliable grower with large cloves and a true garlic flavor with a spicy kick. They're often considered nutty and well-balanced, making them great for a wide array of recipes. They have sweet and nutty notes along with a distinct 'garlic' flavor.
Killarney Red Garlic is hardy and stores well. Your Killarney Red Garlic will stay intact for up to six months in a dry, cool location.
Plant your Killarney Red Garlic cloves individually in lightly turned soil about 6 inches apart and 3 to 4 inches deep in fall. Work up the soil in a sunny, and well drained location such as a raised bed or any well drained area that is full sun. Put the root side down and pointed side up into the loosened soil and cover with an inch or two of soil. Gently press around your planting location and lightly water your garlic after planting. Each clove will develop roots and grow all fall and into winter right up until the soil freezes just like your tulip bulbs will. Killarney Red Garlic will spring to life in spring and only needs to be watered during extended dry periods. As spring warms your garlic will grow and multiply beneath the soil, forming well-developed bulbs. You can harvest your garlic once its foliage has browned and fully wilted. Allow your newly harvested garlic to cure in the sun for a few days before storing it.
