The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-9
Are you in the market for a super low-growing and very wide-spreading evergreen groundcover? The Prince of Wales Juniper Bush (Juniperus horizontalis 'Prince of Wales') is an excellent choice for the most ground-hugging and wind-swept looking of the Creeping Juniper varieties available!
Prince of Wales exhibits medium-green fine-textured foliage with blue overtones that are accented by branches forming a starburst pattern! Gracefully upward-reaching tips of this evergreen add texture and movement while the green-blue tone stands out all growing season.
Then this groundcover Juniper has a trick up its sleeve because when the winter cold enters the air, all the foliage is bronze-purple! Very cold and heat-tolerant throughout USDA planting zones 3 to 9, this Juniper bush has amazing adaptability and works where few other shrubs can, especially in extreme temperatures, urban environments, and coastal areas.
Landscape Application:
An excellent groundcover that is relatively low-maintenance once established, Prince of Wales is ideal year-round greenery as edging and facer plantings, growing barely a foot high but spreading into a wide 6-8 feet of weed-blocking, bare-ground-filling, living mulch! Just the finishing touch your landscape bed edges and the side borders of walkways need to ease the transition between yard, hardscape, and garden bed!
The Prince of Wales Juniper is an excellent solution in rocky or gravelly ground, in tough Xeric sites, Rock Gardens, and that roadside hell strip. For mass plantings that fill in large swaths of bare ground, or creating a safe landscape feature out of hard-to-mow hillsides. Slow erosion or rainwater runoff by planting this hardy Creeping Juniper 4 feet apart on center to carpet banks and stabilize slopes!
Wonderful spillers in planters and mixed pots on your porch and patio, you'll love the wind-swept Zen style of this shrub as it cascades over container edges or the tops of retaining walls, boulders and hardscapes, or rambling over long stretches of ground. It's as if it is already naturally trained as a bonsai or topiary shrub!
- Blue Green Color All Growing Season
- Showy Bronze-Purple Fall & Winter Color
- Unique Upturned Starburst Branching
- Very Low-Growing Spreading Juniper
- Fantastic Groundcover, Edging, Massing & Container Spiller
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Tolerant of a very wide range of climates and harsh conditions, Junipers are stalwart garden workhorses! Any type of fast-draining soil with moderate moisture access is perfect for your new shrubs, but once established, they grow just fine in poor, thin, rocky or even gravel soil! Provide a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around new installations until they grow together enough to block weeds on their own. If needed, prune wayward branches back to the main body of the shrub in the spring.
- Best Color In Full Sun
- Any Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate to Low Moisture Needs - Tolerates Xeric Sites & Dry Soil
- Prune In Spring If Needed
- Shrugs Off Urban Pollution & Deer Resistant
Cold and heat-hardy, a pretty Creeping Juniper with dramatic winter color is just what your landscape needs as its finishing touch to your grand garden design! Go royal with the Prince of Wales Juniper bush from NatureHills.com!
