Show-Stopping Mountain Fire® Pieris Shrub

The Mountain Fire® Japanese Andromeda (Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire') is a broadleaf evergreen shrub with fiery red spring growth, glossy green summer foliage, fragrant clusters of pinkish-white blooms, and pollinator-friendly charm. A true garden show-stopper, this plant thrives in partial shade, provides year-round interest, and is even drought-tolerant once established.

From the first warm days of spring, its foliage blazes with brilliant red tones that age into burgundy before settling into a deep, glossy green for the growing season. Come winter, Mountain Fire® holds onto its evergreen form. In early spring, hanging clusters of delicate, fragrant flowers resembling Lily of the Valley dangle like living jewels, attracting bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Also called Fetterbush or Andromeda, Mountain Fire features slightly arched branching that offers structure, texture, and color in every season!
