This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 4-7
Golden sunspots for your landscape, the eye-popping Honeybee™ Diervilla (Diervilla rivularis 'Diwibru01') will brighten any corner of your garden this year! Vivid chartreuse foliage that is a saturated brilliant gold adorns this shrub all growing season! The cold weather brings incredible red fall color to the table as well to round out the growing season!
Also known as Bush Honeysuckle, Diervilla are named for their gorgeous blooms that resemble their namesakes, and attract an equal amount of pollinators and Hummingbirds to their sweetly-scented, equally brilliant yellow blooms! You'll love watching flitting hummingbirds and fat bumblebees moving between the trumpet-shaped flowers that show up all spring!
Honeybee™ Diervilla becomes a densely branched little shrub that forms underground suckers in a polite manner without overcrowding or overtaking their home in your garden. But these will provide thickets and colonies that birds love nesting and sheltering in! Exceptionally hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 7, this little deciduous shrub only grows into a tidy 2-3 feet in height while spreading about 3-4 feet wide.
Planting and Application:
Diervilla are great shrubs for those tough dry, partly shaded areas of your landscape! So Rock Gardens, that 'hell-strip' along the road or your driveway, or that weird location on the east side of your house all receive the Midas touch! In addition to dry sites, Bush Honeysuckle shrubs hold soil along shorelines, water features, and higher moisture locations too!
Equally adept in normal garden conditions, it's great as low hedging and backdrops, for accenting mixed shrub borders and adding a punch of color to your landscape! Honeybee™ brightens Rose gardens and Cottage borders, adds vivid color to pathways, and foundation plantings as facer shrubs. Or use it as gilded edging before rows of dark evergreen shrubs and hedges to really set things off!
Honeybee™ Direvilla is also ideal for naturalizing and colonizing large areas so it's no wonder it's so widely used in commercial settings! Great for island plantings in parking lots and areas where snow gets plowed and piled onto. If the snow breaks the branching, they readily regrow from the roots in spring each year! Imagine how this tough little shrub will work for you in your home landscape! Use on hard-to-mow slopes, slow rain, and drifting snow, and are fantastic for erosion control on hillsides.
- Brilliant Chartreuse-Gold Foliage
- Beautiful Red Fall Color & Smaller Size
- Sweet Honey-Scented Trumpet-Shaped Flowers
- Erosion Control, Tough Locations, Pollinator & Bird Friendly
- Low Maintenance Hedges, Backdrops, Facer Shrubs & Colorful Specimens
#ProPlantTips for Care:
Full shade and soggy wet soil are the only conditions that Dwarf Diervilla can't handle! These adaptable ornamental deciduous bushes tolerate some shade, handle drought and stop erosion. Plant them in any kind of well-drained clay or dry soil. Doing best in average to higher moisture locations as long as they are also well-drained. It shakes off pollution and urban areas all the while being cold-hardy and deer resistant! Prune if needed in early spring to renew the vigor of this shrub.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Highly Adaptable to Most Soil Types Except Soggy
- Thrives in Dry to Average Moisture & Occasionally Wet Soil Too
- Xeric, Clay & Saline Soil Tolerant, Drought & Deer-Resistant
- Highly Adaptable Shrubs!
