Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes

#ProPlantTips for Care:
For the best coloration, grow Alocasia Elephant Ears in full sun or partial shade for the most color and plant them in organically rich well-drained soil. Colocasia are tolerant of both average to high moisture locations. Gardeners in zones 3-7 may overwinter the corms indoors. As soon as the temperatures drop below 40°F, dig the corms up, brush off excess soil and store them in dry peat moss or wood shavings. Place in a warm, dark and dry place with a temperature no higher than 50-60°F.- Grow in Full Sun or Partial Shade
- Tolerates Moist Soil for Water's Edge
- Well-Drained Soil
- Prune After Foliage Yellows
