Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

If you're looking for a touch of Tuscany closer to home, or if you just really love high-quality Olives, the Frantoio Olive Tree (Olea europaea 'Frantoio') will have you grinning from ear to ear! This fast-growing Olive tree is known for yielding plenty of plump Olives loaded with a floral flavor and highly aromatic.

The Frantoio Olive lights up with white blooms during summer. While not impressive on their own, they’re not the showiest flowers you'll find, but their petite size makes them quite delightful and they’ll absolutely cover your tree!

During the fall, the Frantoio Olive will keep you busy with its abundance of fruit. This amazing tree is self-fruiting, so you can plant just one and still reap the benefits of the Frantoio Olive. This tree will produce even more Olives, though, if you plant another nearby.

These medium-sized Olives are acclaimed for their quality, fruity oil. They also make a delicious treat when cured. These yummy Olives are about 80% pulp, and they have a pleasant fragrance.

Plus you’ll enjoy a bounty from these highly productive, modestly-sized trees! Tucking into any existing garden or landscape, without overtaking your space. The light and airy foliage adds dappled shade over your seating areas or garden beds.

How to Use Frantoio Olive Tree In The Landscape

Adding a wonderful Mediterranean aesthetic to your landscaping, these fine-textured trees and soft leathery leaves suit even the smallest properties! These trees reach a height up to 15 feet tall, they’re space-saving fruit trees!

The Frantoio Olive is equally adored for its appearance! It has a full, broad crown and its branches dance with gray-green, narrow, leathery leaves that can often have a silvery appearance in the sun.

The most unique characteristic of this tree is its slow-growing nature, creating a gnarled, twisted trunk. Over time, this tree adds character to your landscape!

This tree is perfect for an area with a bit of open space to reach its full potential. Plant a row of these along each side of your driveway to give your home a Mediterranean estate look. Or plant a couple along the back of your property and harvest the high-quality Olives each fall.

This handsome tree adds character to the landscape all year round because of the wonderful broadleaf evergreen leaves.

#ProPlantTips For Care

The Frantoio Olive grows best in low-moisture, well-drained soil. And this drought-tolerant tree becomes more and more cold-resistant as it ages. It doesn't require a lot of fuss, it does well with little water and thrives in the heat.

Plant this tree in full sun. Provide an enriched site for best results, but Olive trees grow and thrive in the Mediterranean climate and also thrive in poor soils with low moisture. Hardy in growing zones 7 through 10, Frantoio is more tolerant of cooler climates than other varieties.

This hardy, yet fruitful tree will add beauty to your landscape! An old-world favorite, the Olive is a symbol of peace and friendship! So Frantoio would be a fantastic gift for a new homeowner!

This broadleaved evergreen tree will produce some of the best Olives you can find! And it will add a stately sensibility to your landscape. Why not grow your own Olive orchard by checking out our other Olive varieties! You'll adore this Frantoio Olive Tree - order today at NatureHills.com!
