From Chicagoland Grows®, the Enchanting Forever Pink Phlox (Phlox glaberrima var. triflora 'Forever Pink') creates a perfect puff-ball of light-hearted color for weeks in early summer! Purple-pink flowers fully cover these compact, well-branched perennials that start blooming just as the welcome spring blooms of other Phlox are finishing up. Forever Pink Garden Phlox appears to be sterile. That means no messy seeds or seedlings, and wave after wave of vibrant flowers held on strong stems that don't flop or bend.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
This Tall Garden Phlox hybrid does well in partial shade in warmer climates but can handle full sun in cooler ones. Plant these mildew-resistant bloomers in full sun and well-drained soil. They prefer to be kept moist, although once established can tolerate short droughts. Add a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over the root system after planting to a depth of three inches. Then, pull the mulch back from directly touching the stems.
Deadhead the first flush of flower inflorescences as they fade and you'll enjoy a rebloom in many circumstances. In early spring, prune back the dried foliage to start a beautiful new season! Easy care Phlox can be pruned to the ground in late fall. Divide your perennial mounds every 3-5 years while they are dormant to increase the root system's vigor.

Phlox Frequently Asked Questions
Does Tall Garden Phlox spread?
Most Garden Phlox do spread some but politely so - not getting into trouble and not jumping their borders. Should the clumps become too large you can easily divide them.
Should your deadhead Tall Garden Phlox?
Deadheading Phlox helps prevent some varieties from self-seeding and encourages a rebloom.
Where is the best place to plant Phlox?
Phlox needs well-drained enriched soil with good air circulation for best results. Mulch their beds and fertilize them each spring.
What happens to Phlox in the winter?
Phlox are herbaceous perennials that will lose their leaves and stems after frost and die back to the ground. In spring, they regrow from their root systems anew!
