Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Light up your spring with the fiery colors of the Fire Pot Tulip Blend (Tulipa 'Red Impression', Tulipa 'Big Smile', Tulipa 'Greetje Smit', Tulipa 'Blushing Beauty', Tulipa 'Pink Impression') in your garden this year!

A high-impact color palette blends the deep red Red Impression Tulip, and pink Pink Impressions Tulip, with the sunshine yellow Big Smile Tulip that has the traditional egg-shaped Tulip bloom shape. Mixing into the warmth are the ombre light and dark orange Triumph Greetje Smit and the soft yellow-pink flame-licked Triumph Blushing Beauty Tulip, and their unique pointed petals!

Backed by a flourish of soft green strappy leaves that form vase-shaped clumps, and strong sturdy stems that can grow 20-30 inches tall. Each cold-hardy perennial bulb creates a single bloom with a sweet scent and a long-lasting bloom throughout the spring.

Planting and Application:

Break out the marshmallows and plant the Fire Pot Tulip Blend in groupings throughout your landscape to add fiery color to your garden and seasonal container plantings! Like a crackling campfire, or flame-licked border along your landscape's front beds and borders.

Want to bring the barbecue indoors? Snip plenty of blossoms for your bouquets and indoor vase arrangements! Try forcing Tulip bulbs indoors in a shallow tray, or mixed with other spring ephemerals in the late winter, and enjoy a pretty centerpiece to welcome the spring warmth in the middle of winter!

Mix with other perennials and perennial blossoms, spring ephemerals like Tulips appreciate the later-emerging shade of their leaves, shading them from the hot summer sun. Mingle these vibrant flowers among your shrub plantings, in front of your foundation hedge, or as mass plantings that light up the sun garden!

  • Fiery Yellow, Pink, Red & Orange Tulip Mixture
  • Upright Vase-Shaped Green Foliage
  • Bees, Butterflies & Sweetly Scented Cut Flower Bouquets
  • Great For Seasonal Container Gardens
  • Beds & Borders, En Masse, Rows & Groupings

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Tulips do their very best in a well-drained location in full to partial sun. Tulips do not like continuously wet soil so water newly planted bulbs very well. Once established, you will only need to provide supplemental water if it gets dry that fall, or during summers when you have extensive heat and drought. Top-dress with a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch to consistently hold in soil moisture and insulate the perennial bulbs.

Deadhead the flower heads once they fade but let the foliage remain to make food for the bulbs. Trim away the leaves and remove them from the area once they turn yellow. Apply an early spring application of bulb food.

Tips on Planting Tulip Bulbs

Plant Tulip Bulbs in the fall about 6 to 8 weeks before a hard freeze (or anytime in the autumn when the ground is still workable.). Place the perennial bulbs in a hole with the pointy end upward and at least 8 inches deep (about 3x the length of the bulb), spaced about 4-6 inches apart.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade Outdoors & Indirect Sun Indoors
  • Needs Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate to Low Moisture
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune After Foliage Yellows
  • Fall-Planted Perennial Spring Flowering Bulbs

Light up the landscape with the Fire Pot Tulip Blend today, and inject warmth into your spring garden. NatureHills.com will hold your perennial bulbs until the proper planting time for your growing zone!
