To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Buying Options for Plants
Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Looking for an elegant tree that will take center stage in your landscape? The Elizabeth Magnolia Tree (Magnolia x 'Elizabeth') is an incredible selection. This beautiful ornamental shade tree grows tall but stays narrow and erupts in the softest barely-there yellow blossoms that are scented and upright!
The color is simply delicious. You'll be reminded of the pale, buttery yellow of shortbread or sugar cookies before they are iced. The Tulip-like blossoms bring in the butterflies and fresh color before the leaves appear, filling out the bare branches in dark green beauty all summer long. Autumn brings lemony-yellow fall color and occasionally, this mostly sterile tree produces upright seedpods with red berry-like fruit that birds love.
Elizabeth is a deciduous pyramidal Magnolia tree that grows over time to 30 - 40 feet in height but stays a slimmer 15 - 20 feet in width. Cold-hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 through 8, Elizabeth is wonderfully easy to grow and low-maintenance!
Landscape Application:
You'll be entranced with Elizabeth as she puts on her spring show for you, producing large, creamy yellow blooms before the leaves come on in the spring. Known as one of the best yellow Magnolias, this variety is a bit more restrained than other yellow Magnolias!
Well-suited for use as a landscape specimen, and a wonderful shade tree with its wide-spread branches. It's wonderful to choose a place where you'll be able to see the scrumptious blooms from inside your house, too! After the flowers fade, you'll appreciate the long dark green leaves for their delightful shade and sheltering songbirds.
If you've had a long, cold winter, consider pruning a few of the budded branches and bringing them inside in late February to "force" the blooms in a vase of warm water placed in a sunny, cool spot. Use a spray bottle to mist the branches and change the water every few days. What a treat to watch the blooms open in a wonderful preview of spring!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Easy to grow Magnolias flower and grow best in full sun but can tolerate afternoon shade in hotter growing zones. Plant in about any kind of well-drained soil that is organically rich and slightly acidic. Moderate yet regular moisture access is important, especially for young trees, but once established they become self-sustaining, only needing supplemental moisture during prolonged drought.
Protect this Magnolia from the worst of the winter winds by selecting a protected spot in your yard. Prune right after the flowers fade if needed.
