Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Elegant Allium Blend (Allium Cristophii, Allium stipitatum 'Violet Beauty', Allium 'Purple Sensation', Allium Multibulbosum, Allium 'Mount Everest') lends unique spiky texture and dreamy color to your spring garden beds, containers and floral bouquets! Carrying an easy-going informal and structural formal look as well as adding drama and whimsy anywhere they're planted!

You'll get five varieties of Allium - starting with pale lavender Cristophii, the smaller violet-hued Violet Beauty, the dreamy white Multibulbosum, the very dark purple Purple Sensation, and the snowy Mount Everest! Each forms large round spiky balls of tiny flowers that look like sparklers or stars!

Also known as Star of Persia, Alliums appear in mid-late spring from among dense clumps of grassy foliage that carry the family oniony smell. As unique and textural in the garden, these are incredible blossoms for focal points in mixed containers, as solitary grouped specimens or as the feature in a grand bouquet!

Planting and Application:

You'll definitely want to include these perennial bulbs in your bulb gardens and cutting gardens! That way you will have armloads all spring to bring in and decorate your home while leaving many outdoors for pollinators and to add interest to garden beds and borders!

Elegant Allium Blend looks fantastic as a designer addition to garden borders, especially when used in long, uniform rows or groupings to dramatically highlight these intriguing blossoms! Pot up in containers and planters around your seating and entertaining areas, or add accents to porch pots and balcony planters!

  • Elegant Blend of Purples & White Alliums
  • Grassy Green Onion Foliage Clumps
  • Perennial Bulbs
  • Formal, Whimsical & Informal
  • Easy Care, Containers, Landscape & Bouquets

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Allium love the full sun and can also tolerate partial shade, especially in the hottest of its preferred growing zones. Plant in very enriched, well-drained soil and provide just enough water to get established. Deadhead to prevent seed spread, or spray paint the dried flower heads for lasting garden interest! Leave the foliage intact to make food for the bulb, then prune in autumn once the leaves have yellowed.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Very Well-Drained Enriched Soil
  • Clean Clumps in Autumn
  • Rots in Soggy Soil
  • Deadhead to Prevent Seed Spread

Elegant Allium Blend is the perfect pick-me-up for your garden beds and borders! NatureHills.com ships in autumn just in time for fall bulb planting season based on your growing zone!
