Talk about petal power! We're talking about the Easy Elegance® My Girl Shrub Rose PP#19,952 (Rosa 'BAIgirl') has buds that are deep pink and is well-known for its big clusters of blooms being chock full of ruffled petals! The hot pink blooms age a bit lighter and open wide to reveal a golden yellow center! Giving you a varied gilded two-tone look that smothers the entire shrub!

The effect on your landscape and in your vase arrangements is incredible! The beautiful green foliage serves as an elegant backdrop to the blooms, and to other plants in the landscape. The adorable, round, deep pink buds on My Girl are held in clusters of 5 to 30, opening to ruffly blossoms so full they almost hide the centers. This own root shrub Rose is backed by medium green foliage, proven to be highly resistant to black spot with little to no defoliation.

Easy Elegance® My Girl Shrub Rose is a result of modern breeding techniques that make these roses superior to Roses from the past. They are far more disease-resistant, almost endlessly rebloom easily, and tolerate heat and cold better than any other Rose on the market! Wonderfully adaptable throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, there's little these Shrub Roses will balk at in your garden!

Planting and Application:

My Girl makes a dazzling color statement in any garden, border or container! Growing 3-5 feet in height and width, any sunny location in the garden becomes enhanced with brilliant blooms that are non-stop and attract pollinators and attention from all around! Add some pop to the cottage and perennial garden, add screening and a touch of playful privacy around your seating areas, and highlight your front steps leading to your home with these flouncing and full Shrub Roses!

Shrub Roses are perfectly sized as hedges and back-of-the-border plantings, the lush foliage an ideal backdrop for other blooms as well as fantastic screening and privacy that few will want to tangle with the thorns while crossing. Groupings offer bird-friendly cover while hiding an eyesore, and winding rows of thorny Shrub Roses added to a mixed shrub border create vivid color and layered garden appeal all growing season!

These two-tone deep pink Roses are vibrant, long-lasting gifts and memorial plants. Mark a special occasion, plant a lasting memory, or give the all-occasion gift of an easy-to-maintain Rose bush for any event and milestone! All for the cost of a bouquet of Roses at the florist!

#ProPlantTips for Care

Easy Elegance® Roses are easy to grow and My Girl is no exception. Plant these modern Roses where they'll get plenty of air circulation and full sun. Morning sun is best, and they'll need at least six or more hours of full sun a day. Plant in well-drained soil that doesn't stay soggy after rainfall and plant with some Nature Hills Root Booster to help your long-lived Roses with a symbiotic relationship with tiny feeder roots - it never wears out!

Provide a consistent yet moderate amount of water throughout the growing season and try to only water at the base of the plant, rather than wet the foliage. Spread a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to help reduce dirt splashing onto the leaves. This helps reduce the spread of disease and keeps your foliage clean.

In early spring and mid-summer, apply a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants. Follow the application rates on the label, please. Prune own-root Roses down to eight inches in early spring just as they start to wake back up. Even the coldest winters will only kill the tops, but then regrow from the roots as good as ever! For everything about pruning Roses, winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
