To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. #ProPlantTips for Care

Keeping Macy's Pride™ Rose healthy is so easy. Plant easy-care modern Roses where they'll get plenty of air circulation and full sun. Morning sun is best, and they'll need at least six or more hours of full sun a day. Plant in well-drained soil that doesn't stay soggy after rainfall and plant with some Nature Hills Root Booster to help your long-lived Roses with a symbiotic relationship with tiny feeder roots - it never wears out!

Schedule a moderate amount of consistent water for your Roses and try to water at the base of the plant, rather than wet the foliage. Spread a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to help reduce dirt splashing onto the leaves. This helps reduce the spread of disease and keeps your foliage clean.

In early spring and mid-summer, apply a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants. Follow the application rates on the label, please. Prune own-root Roses down to eight inches in early spring just as they start to wake back up. Even the coldest winters will only kill the tops, but then regrow from the roots as good as ever! For everything about pruning Roses, winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!

  • Full Sun For More Blooms
  • Moderate Moisture & Regular Fertility
  • Enriched Well-Drained Soil
  • Grown on Own Root
  • Prune Back Early Spring
  • Easy to Grow Modern Cultivar & Low Maintenance!

Rose Bush FAQs

Where Is The Best Place To Plant Rose Bushes?

Roses need a protected location with morning sun access. Flowering best in full sun in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Choose a location in good, enriched soil that drains well and has good air circulation.

What Is The Best Month to Plant Roses?

You can plant Roses any time if you can provide enough consistent moisture and attention. No specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.
