The Easy Elegance® Coral Cove Shrub Rose (Rosa 'BAIove') is one of those kinds of Roses with such intense and colorful blooms that they are hard to tear your eyes from them! Coral Cove Roses are one of those blooming shrub Roses! With outer petals kicking off as a vibrant coral- almost persimmon in color. As the petals near the center of the Rose, they lighten to a rich buttery yellow. The effect is like a summer sunset over a tropical beach!

Lovely dense and rounded shrubs and one of the great things about Coral Cove is that it only reaches 2 feet tall and wide. Even though it is small in stature, it's not a Miniature Rose - the flowers are a full 3 inches across! The lush green foliage is darkly hued and glossy providing the perfect backdrop for the large flowers!

Coral Cove is one of the newest additions to the Easy Elegance® Rose family. This means extreme disease resistance, super easy care, and guaranteed bloom. Being an Easy Elegance® Rose means that it is self-cleaning too, so no need to deadhead or prune. Growing throughout the chilly USDA hardiness zones 4 through the warm summers of zone 9, there’s little these Shrub Roses balk at!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Roses also require plenty of air circulation. Well-drained soil is also important, as their roots won't tolerate standing water. Use a container, or create a raised bed if you have thick, soggy soil. You'll want to supply a consistent schedule of water. Place a three-inch layer of mulch over the root zone, then pull it back away from directly touching the canes.

Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper. Keep the soil level the same as we have grown it at the nursery. Add the symbiotic ingredients of Nature Hills Root Booster into the planting hole. It will never "wear out", and gives support to the tiny feeder roots over their entire lifetime.

Feed them in early spring and mid-summer with a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants. Read the label for correct application rates. Rake up the fallen leaves in late fall, and bag them up and remove them from the area. Prune all of the stems down to six inches each year in spring, just after the plants start to wake up. Rose Bush FAQs

Where Is The Best Place To Plant Rose Bushes?

Roses favor the drying power of the morning sun and flower best in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Choose a location in good, enriched soil that drains well and has good air circulation.

What Is The Best Month to Plant Roses?

You can plant Roses any time if you are able to provide enough consistent moisture and attention. While there is not a specific month that is best, generally because it changes with temperatures, climate, and growing zone. However, the easiest times of the year to get Rose bushes established in your landscape are in spring after the last frost date, and in fall about 4-6 weeks before the first frost.

Do Roses Come Back Every Year?

It took a while for plants to break dormancy, but plants are healthy and thriving. I am sorry to report, I did not calculate sun hours, so I may not be getting any blooms. But they are healthy and trying to bloom., a few little green buds.

Hi,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and for giving your plants the care they need during this early stage! We completely understand that plants sometimes take their time to break dormancy—the important thing is like you said, they’re healthy and showing signs of life with those little green buds. That’s a great indicator that your plants are on the right path.

Regarding blooms, sunlight can make a big difference, so your insight about sun hours is spot on. To encourage flowering, you might consider tracking the sunlight your plants receive daily using apps or even a simple sunlight journal. Most blooming plants thrive with at least 6 hours of direct sun, and adjusting their location if possible could help those buds fully develop into beautiful flowers.

If you ever want personalized advice on specific flower types or optimal care tips, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to support your success every step of the way!

Wishing you happy planting,
