Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Lovely Broad-Leaved Accent Dwarf English Laurel
Craving a classy, elegant broad-leaved evergreen shrub to grant structure to your yard? Perhaps you are putting the finishing touches on an established property. Or, you may just be getting started with a "blank slate".
Add one or more of the easy-care Dwarf English Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus 'Nana') to help define your garden design in outstanding fashion!
You will love how English Laurel grows into a handsome shrub with large, glossy leaves and fragrant white blooms in spring. The glossy leaves shine in the sunlight! They'll even brighten up areas of low, dappled shade and your landscape will never tire of these hard-working workhorses.
This dwarf broadleaf evergreen variety stays nice and compact. It's an English Laurel, also known as Cherry Laurel, so it can be pruned to control the size you like.
Spring brings tiny white blooms. Relish in their clean scent, and the sight of butterflies feasting on their nectar. (Yes, you can wait until the floral display is done before pruning!) The flowers become dark berry-like fruit that the birds snap up quickly in the late summer and autumn! Being a Prunus family member, the fruit is edible for humans but very astringent and best left for your songbirds to fatten up for the winter.
Broadleaf evergreens keep their foliage all year round throughout USDA hardiness zones 7 to 9, and retain their deep glossy green through sun, heat, and humidity! Deer isn't much of an issue with Laurel, nor is urban environments and pollution.
How to Use Dwarf English Laurel in the Landscape
Savvy homeowners take advantage of these time-tested shrubs to add value to their property. A boon in the heart of the city, the thick foliage of these evergreen shrubs is held on lushly dense branches. Let them absorb discordant traffic sounds and block wind for you, your friends, and your family.
With luxuriant growth that stays green all the way to the ground, Dwarf English Laurel makes a wonderful foundation planting. Few other options deliver this much subtle charm to your facade.
This plant suits contemporary and traditional architecture alike! Keep it tightly trimmed, or let it grow naturally for an informal style. A fantastic backdrop for other flowering plants, Laurel shines and helps other plants stand out too thanks to their steady green tones.
Use one Dwarf English Laurel as a specimen shrub with glossy, dark green leaves between your patio and your lawn. Try a pair on either side of your garden gate.
You'll get a high-end look with a hedge along the length of your side yard. Plant them four feet apart on center. You'll measure from the center of one to the center of the next.
Run several of them as a lovely hedge. Take a deep breath, they'll delight you with their steady tones and delightfully easy-care nature. For faster results, order the largest size containers we have in stock. Mulch between the plants and keep newly installed hedges weeded until they grow together and touch.
They are incredible background plants with a useful spreading form! Let their good looks support plants with showy blooms and unique forms.

#ProPlantTips for Care
Plant Laurel Bushes in either full sun, or give them afternoon shade in the warmer areas of the country. They'll need at least four hours of direct sunlight a day at the bare minimum.
Dwarf English Laurel loves humusy, rich, slightly acidic soil. Add a few handfuls of compost to the backfill soil during planting. You'll want to add a three-inch layer of pine bark or pine straw over the roots.
Keep them watered, so their root systems remain damp. This is critical for success while the plants are young and in times of extended drought.
Prune after flowering. You'd hate to miss the fragrant white flowers! At that time, you can control their size and keep them trim and tidy. A manicured Dwarf English Laurel looks fabulous!
