To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Duganski purple stripe garlic is known for its strong, pungent flavor that starts with an initial fiery burst of heat! But don't worry, the heat quickly subsides leaving behind a pleasant after-taste. This hardneck variety also holds its flavor through cooking.
The amazing flavor is contained in large bulbs with a violet hue, wrapped in its signature purple and white striped wrappers waiting to be opened. Duganski purple stripe garlic yields about 10 cloves per bulb, and has a storage life of 5 to 6 months. This heavy producer can produce 50 to 60 cloves per pound!
Purple stripe garlic: Purple stripe garlic varieties stand out with bright purple striped paper surrounding 8-12 cloves. Cloves are tall, almost elongated, and half-moon in shape. Leaves grow at a wide angle from the stem almost floppy in form. Possibly the only garlic that retains its ability to produce fertile pollen.
About our garlic: Our garlic bulbs are naturally grown on Amish farmland in central Ohio and Eastern Illinois and should produce an excellent harvest for you. Divide the bulbs into separate cloves and plant individually. Space cloves 2 to 4 inches apart in rows 6 inches apart, grow in full sun, in well drained loose organic soil. Harvest when tops start to dry.
