To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

The Ivory Halo® Dogwood (Cornus alba 'Bailhalo'), also known as variegated Tatarian Dogwood, is a spectacular cultivar that brings something beautiful to look at all year round. No matter what time of year you see an Ivory Halo® Dogwood, it's a show-stopper! From the large, variegated leaves edged in white in summer, to the bright red twigs in winter - this shrub is a wonderful ornamental to add to any landscape.
Hands down, the variegated leaves of the Ivory Halo® Dogwood are simply incredible. The leaf color is the reason this deciduous shrub is so popular. People crave these cool tones in the heat of summer, and this crisp, clean variety certainly delivers.
In spring and summer, the light green leaves literally twinkle as they flash in the sun. Because they are edged in refreshing, creamy white - they'll easily brighten up your landscape, while remaining fresh and cool looking.
Next, large groups of white flowers develop at the branch tips and are held in huge, flat-topped clusters. The flowers also bring pollinators to your landscape to bring texture and motion to your garden. You will see flowers on and off all throughout the growing season.
In the fall, showy, cool white berries develop. These berries are highly ornamental and jazz up the late-season look of your landscape. Your local songbirds will appreciate them as an excellent food source. The cool-toned berries are as pretty as the flowers!
In the fall, the pretty leaves you've loved all season turn a brilliant reddish purplish. Ivory Halo® Dogwood delivers wonderful color to your fall landscape. But it's in winter that this shrub truly shines! Ivory Halo® Dogwood develops intensely red stems during winter. These brilliant red winter stems are particularly showy against a snowy backdrop.
Planting and Application:
Ivory Halo® is one of those shrubs that everyone loves to include in their landscape. Use this as a low-screening hedge or as a single specimen by your front door. The nice thing about Ivory Halo® is that it stays naturally compact and becomes the perfect tidy hedge plant. Try growing them naturally without any shearing to keep them in size!
The clean, light summer color will really pop when you use them in front of dark evergreens. This is a perfect way to put the spotlight on the beautiful red stems in winter. Just picture a group of this colorful Dogwood as a backdrop for your perennial or mixed border. Use them alongside a patio for a bit of privacy with some bright and light colors all summer long.
Make those variegated leaves work to brighten up a corner of your landscape or shrub borders. No matter when you view this pretty shrub, it will knock your socks off all year long.
The stick-straight branches lend an easy symmetry to the form of the shrub. Everyone loves to cut the red stems to use for fall and winter decoration in pots and urns at your front entrance or patio mixed with some Holly or evergreen branches. The red stems are highly ornamental, especially against the snow in the colder areas.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Dogwood shrubs are deciduous, rounded, easy-care shrubs that are extremely versatile in terms of soil adaptability and sun. This Dogwood loves moist, rich, well-drained soil (like so many plants do). They also tolerate soils that can be wet on occasion after heavy rains. Ivory Halo® is very easy to grow and simple to maintain. Ivory Halo® Dogwood has a nice fibrous root system that is not aggressive, so feel free to use this near your house or by water.
Top these roots with a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch for insulation and moisture retention. Mulch will also keep the soil from splashing up onto the foliage. After all, you'll want to enjoy the show! Use mulch to keep the foliage clean and fresh looking. Prune in the late winter and early spring to manage its size and keep the growth vigorous, renewal pruning every 3-5 years is suggested to keep the plants looking most natural, flowering and fruiting best, and healthy because you are removing the oldest wood keeping the plant colorful and vigorous.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
