Bermuda grass is very popular for all kinds of yards! It is known for being durable and good looking. There’s many different uses for it!
- There are many benefits to this grass along with being dog urine resistant and traffic resistant! This grass is also deer resistant and drought resistant! Talk about a low maintenance lawn.
- Lot’s of people ask: “How low should bermudagrass be cut?” The best part is that this variety may not need to be cut! This grass grows 4-6 inches tall and can be left alone for weeks at a time!
- We recommend avoiding weed killers on this grass, as it is sensitive to them and does that work for you already.
- This grass is derived from African grasses like the American Buffalo Grass, however this one is stronger and less susceptible to wear and tear.
- Use this grass for a small yard, big yard, or even on a golf course! It’s extremely versatile.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
There’s a few things to keep in mind when caring for the Dog Tuff™ Bermudagrass, but it isn’t picky at all!
- It is important to irrigate the ground thoroughly several days before planting these plugs. The soil must be moist when installing!
- Organic fertilizer will help this grass look and feel amazing while being the toughest grass on the block!
- Punch holes in the ground that are 1 inch deep and then plant the plugs all one foot apart from each other.
- When removing the tray, push them up from the bottom rather than pulling from the top as this could damage the roots.
- Once this grass is planted–life is easy! Give it a soak every once in a while (they don’t need a ton to stay pretty) and watch your beautiful yard grow.
