Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 3-9
Big bold blooms that stand vertical in the garden, the Diamonds Blue Dwarf Delphinium (Delphinium grandiflorum 'Diamonds Blue') shoots up flouncy spikes of electrified lavender to lavender-blue blooms, each with a lovely pinkish-purple dot kissing each petal! These are lovely landing pads for butterflies and big focal points in the garden border and in the vase!
These perennial flowering plants form lovely mounds of heavily lobed, deep green leaves that are perfectly sized for tucking into any garden bed or border, or even containers for a dramatic blue vertical accent! The entire flower spike is covered in these single electrically hued blooms and is sure standouts for the landscape without sacrificing space.
Dwarf Delphinium is a hardy and cold-tolerant perennial that thrives throughout USDA growing zones 3 through 9. Usually, Delphinium grows to great heights, but Diamonds Blue is just a miniature version of the classic border plant! Growing to 18-24 inches in height when in bloom and spreading to 12-15 inches in width.
Planting and Application:
Classic Cottage garden and Perennial border plants, Delphinium thrive in hot dry locations and the blooms last for a long time as they open from the bottom up on each spike! Add to cut flower gardens for vivid bouquet additions, and add the waving blue wands to pollinator gardens for low height and interest! Plant with other Delphinium varieties for a gorgeous show every summer!
Diamonds Blue can easily add height and interest to patio pots, porch containers and big mixed planters of your seating areas in the sun! Pair with flowing grasses and groundcovers, include in Rose gardens and add interest to a Rock Garden with upright unearthly blue color! Create groupings among other landscape plants to add dramatic points of interest anywhere in the sun!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Dwarf Delphinium are blissfully low-maintenance. These modern perennials boast strong stiff stems that rarely require staking if planted in a sheltered spot. Plant in the full sun for the strongest growth and in well-drained organically enriched soils. Provide regular yet moderate moisture throughout the growing season and add a 3-4 inch layer of mulch over the root zone for moisture retention and insulation. Encourage reblooming by trimming down the flowers as they near finishing. You'll enjoy another excellent display in late summer and fall if those first flowers are removed. In late fall, prune back the mound and water in well for the winter.
