Enjoy bushels of blooms from spring to fall! Daylilies are named for the beautiful flowers they produce that last for a single day each, but Pardon Me Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Pardon Me') has many buds per scape and reblooms all summer! The sparkling 3" cranberry-wine flowers with chartreuse green throats are eye-catching across the garden!

Even though Pardon Me Daylily flowers may last only one day, this diploid produces new flowers almost every day, all season long! Once these diminutive but feisty plants are established in your garden, you will have fresh flowers constantly for your bouquets and pollinators!

Hardy herbaceous perennials throughout USDA growing zones 3 - 9, Pardon Me is a class of Daylilies that are reblooming! And that ensures you will have color from mid-summer through to fall! Even when not in bloom, the strappy, grass-like clumps of leaves look striking in the garden!

Planting and Application:

Pardon Me commands attention in front of a sunny border! These low growers look great when repeated in a mixed perennial garden, as edging, and as facer plants! We recommend using at least 3 of each variety to create a big visual impact. Choose to run these graceful, easy-care plants along the edge of all your garden beds for a coordinated effect! Pardon Me is especially known for its compact growth!

Add a row of marvelous plum-red blooms as low edging for walkways and around the mailbox, looking great even when not in bloom. Don't forget to include a few in your containers on the patio or porch. Feature them by themselves in a series of smaller individual containers for continual summer color. Style them your way to personalize your landscape!

The deeply colored flowers are restful, sophisticated, and you'll never grow tired of them! Your local pollinators and hummingbirds will agree! And you'll appreciate their carefree nature! Mix with other Daylilies for an impactful, easy-care look, as a wonderful Xeric landscape plant and is on many fire-scaping lists.

Use it in the front of your Rock Gardens, garden borders, along walkways, and in street-side hell strips. To create a continuous display, plant 2 feet apart on center. You'll measure from the center of one plant to the center of the next. For mass plantings, use a staggered, zig-zagging planting pattern. Mulch between plants and keep them weeded until they grow together. It won't take long!

There is nothing like a mass planting of Daylilies in bloom! Use a long ribbon of individual plants or use rows after rows of them as a bedding plant to completely fill the interior of a garden bed. This is truly a flowering plant that works in every garden.

  • Cranberry Plum 3-Inch Blooms & Green Throats

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Pardon Me Daylily prefers full sun and some afternoon shade and nearly any kind of soil that is well-drained. Daylilies can take the heat and drought of hot climates and they can even thrive in clay and acid soils. These hardy perennials require little maintenance throughout the year to keep performing their best. Growing 12 - 18 inches in height and 23-29 inches wide.

Deadhead to encourage a rebloom that lasts for weeks during the summer until the fall. Daylilies are susceptible to rust and some other foliage diseases so for that reason it is very important to cut all of the foliage to the ground in late fall after the plants have been exposed to a couple of frosts. Removing the foliage before winter prevents the overwintering of disease on the old leaves so it is best to always clean them up and dispose of the old foliage each year. Divide plants every few years to keep the clump size healthy and stress-free.

  • Most Blooms in Full Sun
  • Widely Adaptable - Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture - Low Once Established
