Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Create fascinating depth in your dimly lit garden with the incredible foliage and flowers of this exciting perennial. Low-slung Cutting Edge Foam Flower Tiarella (Tiarella 'Cutting Edge'') from Proven Winners® is the perfect choice to embolden areas with these challenging environmental conditions.
Cutting Edge Tiarella is beloved for their showy ornamental features! To say that it really commands attention is an understatement! Trim the blooms once they are finished, and you'll start the "foliage season". Gorgeous leaves are finely dissected, like an expensive Japanese Maple tree leaf. The background is bright green, but low-growing Cutting Edge amps up the interest with dramatic maroon central veining and accents.
You won't believe your eyes when you see the frothing sea of tall, creamy-white flowers with a memorable bottlebrush form. These spring flowers capture all available light in the shade, and draw butterflies and beneficial pollinators.
Planting and Application:
The flower and dramatic foliage combination is an incredible presentation that lasts all season-long! These petite perennials are the perfect plant for spring interest. They are a great fit in smaller gardens, borders and containers. Keep them as delicious eye candy "Fillers" and "Spillers" in container plantings, too. Pollinators flock to the early blooms no matter where you include this lovely, under-utilized perennial!
Mass a bunch together and create ribbons of color and excitement through the shade gardens of your landscape, Cottage gardens and mixed perennial borders. Use two or three as an unforgettable focal point under a trickling fountain or to draw attention to an architectural feature.
- Fun White Blooms Last for Months
- Nectar Rich Flowers Support Butterflies & Honey Bees
- Creamy Bottlebrush-Like Flowers Above the Pointed-Lobed Leaves
- Low-Growing Clumping Habit
- Showy Foliage Features Dramatic, Dark Burgundy Centers
- Keep in Containers, in Shady Corners & Naturalize as Groundcover
#ProPlantTips for Care:
This woodland perennial is easy to grow! A hardy cultivar of the North America native and grows in a neat clump to decorate the dappled shade, partial shade, to full shade. Doing best in full shade in the hotter of its favored USDA hardiness zones 4 to 9. Tiarella thrives in humus-rich, moisture-retentive soil and appreciates well-drained soils that are enriched with compost and top-dressed with 3-4 inches of mulch.
Foamflower remains evergreen in warmer climates and is an herbaceous perennial in cooler climates. Deadhead after the flowers fade and then prune back these plants in the early spring before new growth emerges, mowing over larger mass plantings. While not necessary all the time, Foamflower can be divided every 3-5 years.
- Thrives in Part Shade to Full Shade
- Moist, Rich, Well-Drained Soil
- Prune Back Each Early Spring
- Deer & Rabbit Seldom Bother These
- Stays Evergreen/Semi-Evergreen In Warmer Climates
- Easy Care Native Wildflower Cultivar
