Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Spiky and frilly beautiful chaos, the Crunchy Cummins Tulip bulb plants (Tulipa 'Crunchy Cummins') are whimsical spring garden additions that will have everyone doing a double-take! Soft lilac-pink with unusual creamy-white frazzled edges, these are sweetly fragrant garden delights!

Crunchy Cummins features the wide, arching soft-green foliage and rosette clumps typical of the Tulip family! These spring-flowering bulbs also have the incredible cold hardiness and ease of care you'd expect from the family too!

Perennial bulbs are perfect for the novice to the experienced gardener! Their size accommodates anyone with yards both big or small, just plant them and they'll bloom every year, multiplying and forming tidy clumps and groupings on their own over time without ever taking over your garden beds! They can be used as annuals in other growing zones.

Planting and Application:

Add these mauvy pink and white blossoms to your beds and borders, children's gardens, groupings and en masse rows or blocks really showcase these blooms big time! Use throughout perennial and cottage gardens to maximize their frills and color! Plant them in rows along gardens as edging and low border plants.

Ideal in large, protected planters where the ground won’t freeze solid. Mix among other spring bulbs or intersperse among larger perennials and shrubs without worrying about their roots crowding each other out. They add dramatic color and texture to bouquets, so they are must-haves for the cutting garden!

  • Fragrant Frilly Cream-White Edges
  • Mauvy Violet Pink Petals
  • Strappy Wide Green Rosettes
  • Cold Hardy Perennial Bulb
  • Fragrant Spring Color for Bouquets, Beds, Borders & Planters

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Tulip bulbs should be planted in the fall 6 to 8 weeks before a hard freeze. Plant pointed end up, at least 8 inches deep. The soil should be well-drained and in full to partial sun location. Tulips do not like wet soil so water only when planting if it gets very dry in the fall or during prolonged drought.

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderate Moisture
  • Well-Drained Enriched Site
  • Deadhead After Bloom Fades
  • Dislikes Soggy Conditions
