A special Rose named for a special lady! Coretta Scott King, the Civil Rights activist and wife of Martin Luther King, Jr., was a strong and dynamic woman who was known for her grace and poise in the face of adversity. Her namesake Rose is just like her - strong, dynamic, graceful, and poised.

The gorgeous Coretta Scott King Grandiflora Rose (Rosa 'WEKstohoco') unfurls from tight buds to showcase a creamy white base that ignites at the edges with an almost indescribable coral-orange-pink-blush! It practically glows in the garden! The Roses are borne in clusters of three or four, so with just one snip, you get instant bouquets!

The dark green leaves and blushed stems are the perfect complements for this shrub as it continually pumps out beautiful flowers all season long! This Grandiflora is strongly disease resistant and very hardy throughout USDA growing zones 5 to 9, forming a moderately sized 3-4 foot tall shrub that is a rounded 2-3 feet in width. The closer you are, the better you can enjoy the light, but unmistakable, true Rose scent!

Planting and Application:

These almost look like white Roses dipped into brilliant coral-pink and create an ombre effect as they open and unfurl at different stages all over the shrub! In fact, the color seems to brighten as each bloom spirals open! This is the perfect Rose to attract attention and gain curb appeal by your front steps, or bedecking the entrance to a pathway or garden gate! An ideal specimen and cut flower garden Rose, cottage gardens and Rose gardens are both just begging to have this flowering ornamental included in their midst!

Underplant her with a ring of flowering groundcover, or use this cheerful Grandiflora as a backdrop hedge behind Perennial borders, or along an unsightly fenceline. The butterflies will be pleased!
