Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

An entire bouquet on one plant! The incredibly stylish Secret™ Romance Coneflower (Echinacea 'Secret Romance') provides large, delightful, salmon-pink double flowers with full pompom-like raised, round centers! The droopy loft pink petals that frame these incredible centers take backstage to the centers!

It is a sturdy, well-branched compact plant. One plant can bloom enough to create bouquets all on its own! The more you snip, the more they rebloom from summer until frost in many cases! The flower begins with a bright pink color and then fades with age to a pleasant salmony hue. It is a long-lasting flower that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

The fragrant, bright, intense flowers of Secret™ Coneflowers are supported on strong stems and mounds of green foliage. Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 9, these Echinacea grow up to 29 inches tall when in bloom and spread 24-28 inches wide at maturity! Resistant to deer, rabbits, pests, heat, sun, and even drought!

Planting and Application:

These fancy specialty Coneflowers show off best when grouped or massed for the most visual impact! This Echinacea will present a season full of daisy-like flowers and is praised for its prolonged blooming after other perennials have faded. This means pollinators and hummingbirds will enjoy the late-season pollen and nectar these flouncy blooms provide!

Highly fragrant, this Coneflower keeps coming all summer on tall plants with excellent branching. If you leave some spent blooms on the plants in the fall, their seeds provide winter food for birds. You can enjoy the dried seed heads as well, because they will provide architectural interest in the winter.

Romantic in the Cottage garden, a must-have for the Cutting garden and Pollinator border, these Coneflowers are also tough enough for Rock Gardens and Fire-Wise landscaping plans! Plant as middle or back-of-the-border specimens, look fantastic in groupings, and amplify their beauty when planted in mass blocks and drifts! You’ll turn heads any way you use these incredible double blooms!

  • Round Fluffy Pink Centers & Soft Pink Petals
  • Great Branching & Green Mounds of Foliage
  • Fragrant Cut Flowers & Pollinator-Friendly
  • Easy Care & Low-Maintenance!
  • Specialty Specimens, Bold Sun Garden Focal Points & Container Plants!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

For best results, these herbaceous perennials need to be planted in the full sun in a well-drained soil area to ensure they grow the strongest stems and the healthiest roots. New plants need regular moisture their first year, but once established, Coneflowers only need supplemental moisture during prolonged drought and extreme heat.

All plants appreciate a 3-4-inch layer of arborist mulch and Nature Hills Root Booster to keep your plants stress-free.

Secret™ Romance usually reblooms without deadheading, but if spent flowers are removed, this procedure will encourage continued beautiful blooms while improving their general appearance. Divide the clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years).

  • Bloom Best In Full Sun
  • Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs - Drought-Tolerant Once Established
  • Deadhead Often & Prune Early Spring
  • Deer, Rabbit & Pest-Resistant

Don't keep this plant a secret any longer! Secret™ series of Echinacea, Romance Coneflower is an outstanding novelty bloom that will become a focal point in any garden! Order yours today at Nature Hills and become part of the secret!
