To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

The Colorado Blue Spruce Tree (Picea pungens 'Glauca') grows into the classic Christmas tree shape - no pruning required! They grow impressively tall but they stay narrow, with a small footprint but a big impact!
What really makes the Colorado Blue Spruce tree stand out from the crowd of other evergreens is the beautifully different color. It's greenish. It's blueish. It's silvery. As an added benefit, this tree grows perfectly shaped pinecones that make great craft projects and are attractive to wildlife.
It is just as striking in the winter as it is in the summer - maybe more so - since it sparkles covered in snow or next to brown, bare branches! Spruce Trees need full sun to grow best, needing at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant in any type of well-draining soil with moderate moisture access during the year. Especially appreciating a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch around the entire root zone and a long winter drink to prevent the needles from burning in the coldest growing zones. Provide a protected location away from drying northern winds in zones 5 and lower.
This cold hardy tree is low maintenance, requiring little more than planting it and watching it grow! Spruce are drought-tolerant and unattractive to deer, while birds and bunnies love the shelter it provides, but you don't have to worry about them nibbling on it.
