A perky pick-me-up, the Coffee Bean™ Rose (Rosa 'WEKdoudou') is an easy-care Miniature Rose that delivers an abundance of double blooms on an incredibly small shrub. A splash of bronzed coral brightens the inner petals and eye, then swirls into smoky sangria red as the flowers mature! Accented by a sultry rusty orange-red outer petal, the bright yellow centers really light up the entire plant when they are fully open!

With about 20 petals per bloom, the noteworthy blooms make an eye-opening impact. But the overall feeling is mellow; especially against the deliciously dark green glossy foliage. The hybridizer, Christian Bédard, has outdone himself with this cross of Santa Claus and Hot Cocoa Rose. Double, high-centered blooms flow in non-stop flushes of shiny blooms much to the delight of your local pollinators and your vase arrangements indoors.

Cup-shaped Roses are held in clusters of one to four blooms at the end of each stem. Each flower lasts a long time on the bush for your extended enjoyment! Then watch for smokier tones to develop in cooler weather! This petite bush grows into a rounded shape and can be used in many different ways in containers. Only 1-2 feet in height and width, you'll enjoy high-impact color without sacrificing space!

Planting and Application:

Add flair with a petite, perfectly formed plant for your patio, deck, balcony or garden. Clusters of roses with deep, dramatic colors will hold your interest and beautify a small, sunny space. Try several planted together as a massed shot of deep color. Plant a long row of these compact Miniature Roses. Coffee Bean Roses make an excellent edging hedge to spice up your garden border!

Make the most of this unique color! Select dark teal blue containers as a complementary match to the rusty-red-orange blooms. Try an analogous hue that goes with their striking color. This profuse bloomer would be absolutely beautiful in a terracotta pot with pink and orange flowering perennials.

Keep them in the front of your garden beds. Or, maximize their rounded habit in outdoor containers. Or, use one as a thriller in pots, paired with fine-textured violet blue fillers such as Salvia or Pugster Blue Butterfly Bush. Pop a chartreuse spiller like Golden Creeping Jenny and you've got a very interesting contrast to enjoy.

Add months of fascinating blooms to decorate your outdoor living area. Don't be surprised if you fall in love with the dense, finely serrated foliage, too! Ideal for edging along garden beds, borders, pathways and your driveway, the space-saving nature of these carefree mini shrubs is perfect no matter how much landscape you have! Dress up leggy evergreens or older shrubs with these vibrant beauties as facer shrubs to hide their bare stems.

Vigorous Coffee Bean™ Miniature Roses are a perfect choice to give as housewarming presents. Everyone has room to grow a Miniature Rose! Want to really elevate your garden? Try mixing Coffee Bean Miniature Roses with a matching Tree Form!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Site selection is actually the most important part of planting Roses. For the very best flower production, keep Miniature Roses in full sun. Please make sure they have plenty of air circulation and well-drained soil; as their roots won't tolerate standing water. Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper.

Growing Roses in outdoor containers requires a consistent schedule of supplemental moisture. Don't forget to add a thick layer of Mulch, then pull it back away from the canes. Feed them specialty Rose fertilizer according to the label instructions. Reblooming Roses are hungry and require supplemental feeding.

A simple way to overwinter your Roses in the colder zones is to mound the plants with about a foot of mulch after the plants have been exposed to killing frosts in late fall. Wait to Prune your Roses in early spring. Reduce each cane down to 6 - 8 inches at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud, and pull the mulch away from the base of the plant as it begins to grow.
