Sun & Shade Needs: Thrives in full sun, but roots must be kept cool and shaded. Hot growing zones will see that their plants perform better in afternoon shade or part shade.
Soil Requirements: Prefers rich, porous, alkaline soil with good drainage.
Mulching: Apply a 3-4 inch deep layer of mulch at the base to keep roots cool.
Pruning Group 2: Flowers on both old and new wood. Typically, little pruning should be done for these woody stems. Can trim in early spring, removing weak or dead stems.
Watering Needs: Keep soil evenly moist, avoiding excess waterlogging.
