Add spicy flair to your summertime garden with these near-effortless, rounded, bushy Roses. Cinco de Mayo™ Floribunda Rose (Rosa 'WEKcobeju') has won the hearts of people across the country with its non-stop blooms. This is a seedling of 'Julia Child' that puts a whole new spin on flower power. Inheriting Julia Child's profuse blooming tendency; these Floribunda Rose blooms never stop poppin' open and flaunt their flirty fiesta colors.

The feisty color is a dynamic mix of smoky lavender and rusty red-orange, but then it takes on a smokier tone in cooler weather. The warm tones of the Cinco de Mayo Rose blend perfectly with any color in the garden! Keep your guests guessing the color of each bloom. Snip whole clusters for indoor cut flower arrangements. One or two is all you need for a lush tabletop display of showy, spiraled, ruffled blooms!

You'll be proud to show off Cinco de Mayo Rose in your space. This is a medium, rounded, and bushy plant with glossy green foliage. Super clean glossy green foliage makes a great backdrop for the blooms. These hardworking bushes pump out flush after flush of gorgeous bloom clusters from late spring through frost. Your local butterflies and bees will appreciate the long bloom time!

A low-maintenance gem, Cinco de Mayo™ also has great disease resistance and wide adaptability. Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 6-10, these are also heat-tolerant shrubs that are so carefree! Think Floribunda Roses are difficult fussy things? Time to introduce you to the easy-going nature of Modern Rose bushes!

Planting and Application:

Planters around your seating areas are cause for conversation starters, plant them around your firepit for a fiery accent, or enliven a poolside seating area with these gorgeous blooms! Keep them in patio pots for a fun decoration. They'll live for many, many years with proper care! Of course, you can easily nestle several amongst your favorite perennials. And no butterfly garden or cut flower garden would be complete without extended bloomers like Cinco de Mayo™!

Growing only 2-3 feet tall and wide, these are incredibly high-impact yet space-saving shrubs! Floribunda Roses keep blooming all growing season, so be sure to include these little wonders in highly visible areas as specimens and focal points. You'll certainly want the neighbors to be green with envy when they see these in bloom!

Freshen up mature plantings with Cinco de Mayo™. The pleasing mounded habit works equally well in the border, or as a hedge. Space them three feet apart, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. You'll have a zesty low hedge in a season or two. Add more rows, staggered in zigzagging rows behind the first to create an effective mass planting. The depth and breadth of color tones are extraordinary!

  • Up to 25 Lavishly Ruffled Petals
  • Lightly Fragrant & Held in Large Clusters

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Site selection is actually the most important part of planting Roses. Supply full sun and plenty of air circulation for your Roses. They also need well-drained soil; as their roots won't tolerate standing water. If your soil stays soggy after rain, elevate the roots in raised beds. You can easily grow Roses in outdoor containers to improve drainage, too. Dig your planting hole twice as wide as the roots, but no deeper. Keep the soil level the same as they are already in their containers.

Give Cinco de Mayo™ Roses consistent water, especially container-grown plants. Add a three-inch layer of Mulch around your plant, and pull it back away from touching the canes. Don't forget to apply specialty Rose fertilizer according to the label instructions. Reblooming Roses do best with supplemental feeding.

In fall, bag and remove all leaf litter. In colder zones, late November is the right time to mound up mulch over the remaining canes for overwintering. Wait to prune Roses until early spring. Pull the mulch away and prune each of the Rose canes down to 6 - 8 inches at a 45-degree angle just above a nice, fat bud.
