Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Jazz Up Your Dinners WIth Chinese Pink Hardneck Garlic

  • 210 Days to Maturity
  • Hardneck Garlic
  • Beautiful Pink and Purple Exterior Peel
  • Stores Well

Pink is in the garlic world, and it's easy to see why. Chinese Pink Hardneck Garlic (Allium sativum 'Chinese Pink') is as attractive as it is flavorful. This superior variety sells out quickly year after year because of smooth flavor and reliable growth.

This early maturing garlic adds a fresh and boldly spicy flavor to recipes. And as odd as it sounds, these stylish garlic bulbs offer beauty and taste. It features a thin lavender exterior skin, which when peeled back reveals large soft pink cloves clustered closely together.

Chinese Pink Hardneck Garlic sets itself apart from other garlic varieties. It has a milder, more subtle garlic flavor with nutty notes. This quality often means it harmonizes better with your other ingredients without taking over the dish. It also does not have the tough inner core many other hardneck varieties do. And while this garlic doesn't produce as many cloves as some others (often producing up to ten per head), the size and quality of these cloves make up for the quantity.

This popular garlic is often the first to harvest each year. When you separate your garlic into individual cloves and plant yours in fall, you can anticipate your garlic to be ready a month earlier than others. Each clove will develop roots and grow all fall and into winter right up until the soil freezes just like your tulip bulbs will. In the spring, your garlic plants will start growing early and strong which will make nice large bulbs of garlic that can be harvested in July or so depending upon where you are located.

Chinese Pink Hardneck Garlic likes full sun and well-drained soil. Plant each clove about 4 to 5 inches apart in rows separated by 1 to 2 feet. Put the root side down and pointed side up into the loosened soil and cover with an inch or two of soil and water in well. Cover your fall-planted garlic with mulch for a little added protection. Harvest when the greens turn brown and wilt.

Life's too short for boring garlic varieties. Chinese Pink Hardneck Garlic stores well and tastes great. Add some color and flavor to your garden. Order yours now.
