#ProPlantTips for Care:

Site selection is actually the most important part of planting Roses. Landscape Shrub Roses prefer lots of sunlight, at least 6 hours of direct sun a day, favoring the leaf-drying power of the morning sun. Plants in hotter climates do appreciate a touch of afternoon shade for relief from the heat, and a 3-4 inch layer of arborist Mulch chips over their root systems to keep them cool and regulate moisture levels.

Provide a well-drained, humusy site that maintains adequate moisture throughout the growing season, and fertilize with Rose food a couple of times early in the growing season. Read all you need about Rose pruning Roses Here, and about winterizing your Roses Here and un-wintering Roses in Spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!

  • Full Sun (Touch of Afternoon Shade in Hot Climates)
