Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Can't decide on a color? Hurry and order the Changing Colors Daffodil (Narcissus 'Changing Colors') and you won't have to choose! These spring-flowering blooms have creamy white outer petals that border on the palest yellow. The coronas of these unique blooms are where they set themselves apart! Butterflies and bees adore these fragrant blooms as much as you will!

The pale yellow ruffled, split coronas are wide open and feature darker edges and lighter centers like eager landing pads for pollinators and the occasional curious hummingbird! You will adore these unique blooms in scented floral arrangements to bring the cheer indoors! As the spring progresses, these yellow centers do a wardrobe change and change into a creamy salmony apricot with lighter centers.

Known as Narcissus or Jonquils, Changing Colors Daffodil will delight you throughout USDA growing zones 3 - 8 and grows 14 inches in height when in bloom. The slender stems hold a single bloom aloft over the upright slender green foliage clumps! Fast-growing, these spring-flowering blooms are wonderfully easy to grow!

Planting and Application:

Changing Colors Daffodil looks lovely throughout the spring bed or border, mingling and naturalizing among other perennials and shrubs. Fantastic multicolor edging and filler, these lovely bulbs even look good along your garden edges after they are done blooming. The color-changing blooms are perfect for cut flower borders, pollinator gardens, and Rock Gardens.

Pot up in mixed or specimen planters and containers on the sunny porch or patio! Plus you can force these bulbs indoors for gorgeous winter décor! Just grow in an indirectly sunny location in a cut crystal or sleek modern container! You'll love the perfumed display each winter or spring!

  • Creamy Outer Petals & Ruffled Color-Changing Yellow to Soft Peach Coronas
  • Lovely Fragrant Blooms!
  • Upright Green Slender Foliage
  • Pollinator-Friendly & Cut Flower Bouquets
  • Beds & Borders, Edging, Groupings & Indoor Forcing

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Daffodils love blooming in full sun or partial sun and appreciating afternoon shade in warmer hardiness zones where the sun is intense. Fall-planted bulbs require full sun and well-drained soil, any type is suitable so long as it is not soggy. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Not only is it strong, but it also has incredible endurance. Its blooms endure through spring showers and days of sunshine.

  • Full Sun For Strongest Growth & Partial Shade
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
  • Deer Seldom Bother Them

Changing Colors Daffodil will keep you guessing as its creamy blooms change their wardrobe all spring! Order your new favorite scented Daffodils today at Nature Hills and we will ship your bulbs based on the correct planting time for your growing zone!
