Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Large cups and brilliant golden yellow saucers, Carlton Daffodil (Narcissus 'Carlton') are a brilliant bloom in the most glorious bright sunny yellow through and through! The handsome clumps of bright green sword-like leaves are among the first to emerge after the snows recede!

Like a tea party for your garden bed or dining table, these are traditionally brilliant yellow Daffodil blossoms! Blooming a bit later in the spring to extend your enjoyment of spring ephemerals a little longer, Carlton forms several stems of cream blooms that are sweetly scented! Featuring pronounced cups, the bees delight in the easy access landing pads leading to the sweet nectar!

Also known as Narcissus or Jonquils, these spring-flowering perennial bulbs are tough, cold-hardy, and perfect for both the home or garden! Use in planters and containers, or forced indoors for winter décor, romantic floral bouquets, and delightful spring color!

Planting and Application:

For vivid pops of spring color, include groupings of these bulbs among perennials and shrubs. Blooming in profusion while other plants are still mulling over emerging. Pop Carlton throughout perennial and cottage borders, pollinator and cutting gardens for bursts of color! Or use long rows as golden edging! Don't worry about competition because Daffodil roots are polite and won't overcrowd.

Daffodils are extremely low-maintenance, both new and experienced gardeners enjoy these plant-and-forget bulbs! Sized for mixed planters on porch or patio, or in containers for forcing indoors. They're delightful winter gifts and decorations, and make wonderful floral arrangements sure to brighten someone's day!

  • Bright Golden Yellow Cups & Saucers
  • Several Blooms & Stems Per Bulb
  • Clumping Low-Maintenance Green Foliage
  • Fall-Planted, Early Spring-Flowering Perennial
  • Early Spring Color, Beds & Borders, Containers & Cut Flowers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Daffodil bulbs are easy to care for! Plant 6-8 inches deep at least 3 inches apart with the pointed end facing upward. They must have well-drained soil and lots of sunshine all growing season. In colder zones, plant deeper and mulch well so they can survive the winter. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results.

  • Full Sun or Partial Shade
  • Moderately Moist Well-Drained Soil
  • Deadhead After Bloom, Prune to Ground When Leaves Yellow
  • Very Cold Hardy
  • Deer & Rodent Resistant
