Showy, colorful, and playful, the First Editions® Campfire Shrub Rose PP#24,435 (Rosa 'CA 29') is a relatively new introduction to the Rose world! It was named after a beloved painting by a Canadian artist from the 1800s and seems poised to stand the test of time equally as well. Considered a 'continuous bloomer', Campfire will flower constantly in your garden all summer until a hard frost. It will be producing new blooms well into fall for your garden and vase!

The glossy green foliage is the perfect backdrop for the smoldering blooms that open a bright yellow and gradually get a hot pink picotee edge. As the season progresses the pink becomes more prominent and the shrub is practically aflame in color! The gorgeous mound of foliage is the perfect backdrop for the flowers and other blooming plants in your garden all growing season long!

Campfire was bred and tested across Canada and is hardy to USDA growing zones 3 to 7, and it can survive winters down to -35 degrees without damage! Talk about hardy! There aren't that many Roses that can boast such heavy production and there are almost no hardy Roses that have that kind of garden impact.

Planting and Application:

Bred to branch at a 45-degree angle, this low-growing Shrub Rose has wonderful form making it a great low hedge or a high groundcover. And what a statement it makes! Add cheerful color along paths and walkways, filling in areas between larger shrubs and trees! Perfect for low edging and as facer shrubs along the fronts of leggy or older foundation plantings and hedges to hide their bare lower stems and add a fresh pop of color!

These smaller shrubs are ideal in containers and for small-space gardening in any sunny location. Add color to around seating areas, on porches and patios, and even on balcony gardens and planters elevate these thriller shrubs that work as both filler and spiller!

Add Campfire Rose to pollinator gardens to feed your bees, butterflies and beneficial insects and you can steal a few blooms for cheerful floral bouquets too! Cottage and perennial gardens, beds and borders in the sun, and even a not so xeric Rock Garden are enhanced by these vibrant two-tone and varied blooms!

  • Bright Yellow Blooms Turn Pink As They Age
  • Lower-Growing Mounds of Green Foliage
  • Low-Maintenance - Long Lasting Floral Show
  • Containers, Pollinator-Friendly & Great Cut Flowers
  • Low Hedges, Specimens, Backdrops & Property Definition

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Making sure the soil is well draining is important as well! Roses outdoors or in containers require a consistent schedule of supplemental moisture. Don't forget to add a 3-4 inch thick layer of Mulch to help hold in moisture and insulate the roots.
