Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Perennial Garden Sage is a garden and pollinator delight, and nothing shines more than these unique snowy-white flowering Perennial Salvias! Introducing the Bumblesnow Salvia (Salvia nemorosa 'Bumblesnow') that aromatically lights up the garden with its green foliage mounds and green spires delicately packed with white bi-lipped little blossoms!

Butterflies and bees, and even a few hummingbirds will arrive to check out these lovely perennials! You'll love having their vertical spires as thrillers and upright texture in the garden and in your bouquets indoors all spring and summer! Remember to deadhead any blooms you don't gather as cut flowers to encourage a rebloom!

Very cold and heat tolerant throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 8, Salvia can handle about anything thrown at them in your landscape! Growing into politely spreading clumps 10-12 inches tall when in bloom, and spreading 12-14 inches wide!

Planting and Application:

Plant this easy-to-grow Salvia in your garden beds and border gardens, or in containers where it can show off! The white flowers will draw everyone in for a closer look around your patios and porches! They brighten the landscape and perfume the air when brushed past. Line walkways and driveways, or add a glimmer to the harsh strip of land between the sidewalk and the road. Not minding drought and road spray once established!

Bumblesnow Salvia looks incredible en masse or planted in drifts and mix-and-match banks throughout the Rock Garden, the perennial border, and the cottage garden! Pair with other Salvia and wildflowers for a gorgeous pollinator garden that will fill your home with dreamy bouquet material and seedheads for birds in the fall! The mounds look great as facer plants and edging!

  • White Spires of Florets
  • Aromatic Geren Foliage
  • Forms Politely Colonizing Clumps
  • Cut Flowers & Pollinator Gardens
  • Edging & Groupings, Containers & General Sun Garden Use

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Full sun plants, these hardy and easy-to-grow flowering Sages have average to low water requirements, you'll not need to worry about the summer heat but bloom best with regular watering and a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch around the root system. Salt and drought-tolerant and adaptable to nearly all organically rich, any well-drained soil is perfect for these low-maintenance plants. Deadheading the old flowers will reward you with more blooms. In the fall, once the plant foliage has died back from frost, can be pruned back near the ground to await the winter snows.

  • Full Sun

  • Deadhead for Rebloom, Prune Back Late Fall
