This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

The sweet and delicious Brooks Cherry Tree (Prunus avium 'Brooks') is a large, firm red cherry that tolerates hot climates! It has a well-balanced sweetness with both rich complex flavor and a perfectly sweet-tart blackberry-like finish. Start the year with fresh green spring foliage and pink buds that burst open into darling white blooms! Pollinators will flock to these in droves!
After the gorgeous blooms fade, you'll be sitting on the edge of your seat watching the fruit ripen and turn a brilliant red among the glossy, long pointed green leaves that fill out this tree! Shiny red-skinned fruit are smooth and ripen around May - June each year depending on your growing zone! You'll enjoy pies, pastries, smoothies, ice cream, preserves and bowls of fresh eating homegrown goodness if you can beat the birds to your harvest.
The Brooks Sweet Cherry is not self-fertile and will need a partner tree to boost pollination. Try a Rainier to increase your harvest. No room for two trees? Try high-density planting techniques or prune your trees smaller to suit your space! Best in areas without high humidity and large amounts of rainfall, these perform incredibly in USDA hardiness zones 4-9.Planting and Application:
Brooks forms a good-sized shade tree and is an impressive flowering ornamental when the bountiful drifts of white blossoms explode. You'll stop traffic each spring and again when the glossy red gems are dangling on every branch! Growing 15-20 feet in mature height and mature width! You can always prune these smaller for easier harvesting or for tucking into established landscapes and orchards.
Cherry Trees like Brooks form beautiful canopies and branching, plus lovely bark color for winter interest. The limbs cast ample shade over garden beds and borders, and provide dense screening and privacy when used in groups and hedgerows or even windbreaks that serve as double-duty edible landscaping ornamental flowering trees!- Sweet White Blossoms

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Cherry Trees do best in full sun, the more the merrier! Enjoy more blooms and therefore fruit in a minimum of 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant your tree in well-drained, fertile and highly organic soil with a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch over the root system. Prune while dormant to remove dead, broken or diseased branches and to open the canopy for air circulation and size control.
