Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Don't put this baby in a corner! When these incredible, double, soft-pink blushed flowers are popping above the healthy, toothed, green-leaved foliage - look out! Stopping people in their tracks doesn't always mean shouting. These whisper-soft, fluffy, large, double blooms are a wonder for summer color that lasts for months!

These single-stem tree forms of one of the prettiest Rose of Sharon bushes have a fabulously long-lasting display. Their straight-arrow up-and-down growth habit makes an outstanding focal point or garden accent. Our expert growers have truly lavished many years of care on these very special Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon Tree Form (Hibiscus syriacus 'Blushing Bride') plants.

They'll look incredible just about anywhere you have a sunny spot. Showy, ruffled, pink blooms are fully double, with twice the amount of silky petals as other varieties. Each bloom is ornamented with a deeper pink center. The dynamic display works well when seen at a distance, and your guests will want to study them up close, too. Blushing Bride Tree Form becomes a gorgeous showpiece for your landscape from midsummer through fall. They'll work hard at delivering the lush landscape you crave.

Hummingbirds and butterflies certainly love visiting its nectar. Use these beautiful, small trees front and center to get the most from the upright, slender branches and large, double pink blooms of this flowering shrub. These Rose of Sharon tree-form plants have such an elegant form. You'll never grow tired of the sophisticated colorway, either.

Planting and Application:

Dress this useful variety up or down with your styling choices! Add one as a showy specimen, or use multiple Blushing Brides to really pump up the impact and looks great used on either side of an existing focal point. Why not really highlight the steps to your hot tub with a pretty pair placed on either side of the stairs?

Use them in the lawn for an instant vista, or view, from your deck. Add one, three, or five in a casual, informal grouping in a mulched island bed. Underplant with perennials that can handle full to partial shade. You can also use them to create a new focal point at one end of an outdoor garden room, however small. This lovely color would be a welcome addition to a private backyard getaway destination.

Line a garden wall or planting bed with formal rows. Line up these fantastic shrubs on a standard to create an outstanding garden feature. Space them six to eight feet apart on center. You'll measure from the center of one to the center of the next.

These tree-form Blushing Brides develop into a modern accent in your landscape! Give these easy-care, high-performance garden accents a place of honor. Plant them in a courtyard as a low-maintenance accent. They can provide restful shade to a pair of outdoor chairs, or even a hammock stand! Don't forget the outdoor table to hold your novel and a big pitcher of your favorite beverage. Make your yard work harder for you and your friends by creating cozy conversation nooks like this.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Give Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon Tree Form full sun for the best performance. Gain the most plentiful flowers and greenest foliage with at least six hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant in well-drained soil. If your site has soil that retains water for a long time after a rain shower or watering, create a raised bed or install a planting mound to improve your drainage. Give young plants a medium amount of water on a regular schedule. Water during extended periods of drought each year. Container-grown plants need careful watering and a three-inch layer of arborist mulch. Save time with automated drip irrigation. This intermediate to beginner-level project helps keep the soil evenly moist in the long run.

At that time, you can also apply a slow-release fertilizer before new growth appears. Use a formula designed for flowering plants. Just follow the application rates on the label directions. Watch out to ensure no lawn fertilizer formula gets too close to your plant. These nitrogen-rich formulas can limit the number of blooms. On the good side, the foliage will look amazing, however!

Growing shrubs on a standard has become so popular because the plant stays smaller. In early spring, you'll prune to shape your Blushing Bride to keep it shaped up. Study your tree to come up with a pruning plan to maintain them as a small tree form. Renewal prune every 3-5 years to maintain vigor. Open up the canopy of your tree to sunlight and air circulation with a series of 45-degree angle pruning cuts. Keep your pruners sharp, and prune just above an outward-facing bud.

  • Give it Full Sun For Most Blooms
  • Grows in Well-Drained Poor Soil
  • Durable Selection Tolerates Tough Conditions
  • Prune Early Spring
  • Easy-Care - Perfect for Beginners
  • Deer Don't Relish this Variety

Tree Form vs. Shrub Form

The details make all the difference in a garden. At Naturehills.com, we understand that little things like what form a plant is can greatly impact how you plan your landscape. So before you buy, don’t forget to check which form you’re getting.

Tree Form:

These are plants that have one stem coming from the ground. Plants can also be considered single stem when lower branches are removed to raise the height of the branching to a more desired height. Sometimes, you will hear a tree form referred to as a single stem.

Shrub Form:

These are bushy plants with many stems and branchings close to the ground. They are referred to as shrubs or bushes and are often shorter than their tree forms.
