To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

Rose of Sharon, aka woody Hibiscus, are best known as shrubs with a hardy nature and tropical-looking blooms summer through fall. But our landscape experts have taken them a step further and have created a stunning tree form with the Blueberry Smoothie™ Althea (Hibiscus syriacus 'DS01BS').
Delicious is maybe the best way to describe the flower color of this plant. The tropical-looking flowers are amazing with a mix of purple and blue-violet and are fully double-petalled to make this display amazing! You might guess the flowers look like large Carnations or even Peony blooms, while still retaining their Hibiscus family flowers. Once the plants are established, they are very drought tolerant, requiring little additional water without sacrificing any quality, growth, or flower power. It is an amazingly easy plant to grow, tolerating almost any well-drained soil and any site as long as it is sunny. Pruning can be done in late winter or early spring without sacrificing any flowers as they are born on new growth. Prune before they leaf out and then leave them alone to produce those amazing flowers on the new growth.
