Sweet and compact Bloomables® Dapper® White Butterfly Bush (Buddleia davidii 'Dapconwhi') is a compact new Butterfly Bush with showy clusters of white florets packed into scented spires that are sure to call every butterfly and bee as efficiently as its larger Buddleia cousins!

The aromatic light green leaves stay dense unlike their airy and openly branched family. Dapper® White then features long-lasting upright spires of creamy white flowers that are formed in early summer and continue to re-bloom into the fall! Spent flowers are hidden by new blooms, reducing the need for deadheading (which still helps bring on more blooms until frost!).

Bloomables® brand Dapper® Buddleia have a smaller, rounded, and more compact habit, and this makes this Buddleia a perfect fit for a variety of landscape applications! The white flowers hold up in the sun all day without fading or browning. These hardy plants thrive throughout USDA growing zones 6 through 9!

Planting and Application:

Growing just 3-4 feet tall and wide, a bit of pruning can help keep them smaller yet! Buddleia Butterfly Bushes bloom best and have the strongest stems in full sun, so provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant in almost any kind of well-drained, enriched soil with a 3-4 inch layer of mulch as topdressing. Then in the early spring before you see new growth, prune back your entire bush. This plant is like a woody perennial in colder winters and will die back to the ground. Cut the stems down in late winter or early spring before it starts to grow and fresh new growth will develop from the roots! Deadhead to keep new blooms returning all growing season. Butterfly Bushes are rarely damaged by deer unless truly desperate!
