To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Soft and durable, the Axcent™ Burgundy Improved Rockcress (Aubrieta x 'Burgundy Improved') is a hot weather perennial that blooms all spring in vibrant burgundy blossoms with soft, silky ruffled petals that bees, butterflies and even hummingbirds adore!
These are excellent mat-forming mounds of soft and downy gray-green foliage that is touchable and silvery in the sun. All spring the low-growing mounds sport a vibrant flush of small, deep dark purplish-burgundy, petunia-like blooms!
Burgundy Improved is heat tolerant in USDA growing zones 6 through 9, handling hot sunny dry sites with ease once established! Only growing near 6-inches high, the mats of gray-green leaves spread to almost a foot wide, so enjoy these brilliant perennials anywhere in the landscape!
Planting and Application:
Rockcress, as their name implies, loves rambling and sprawling neatly over rocks and tumbling over garden edges and paths. Creates soft and subtle edging with a brilliant flowering perk to ease that transition between lawn and garden, or along the edges of pathways and sidewalks, porches and patio, or even sunny planters, anywhere where things can get hot.
Ideal living mulch and groundcover, these low-growing border plants politely mander throughout garden beds and act as a facer plant to larger perennials and shrubs. Add softness and fringe atop rock walls, softening the bases of structures and garden installations and throughout pollinator gardens!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Rockcress does great in both sun or part shade and really thrives in well-drained soils the best! Water regularly to get established, then these Xeric plants only need supplemental watering during extended drought. Mulch to hold moisture in the soil and only prune after flowering. Otherwise, Rockcress is very low-maintenance!
