Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 4-8
The Visions® Astilbe (Astilbe chinensis 'Visions'), is a colorful feathery raspberry-purple flower with fragrant blooms and lacy blue-green foliage! The flowers contrast wonderfully with the glossy foliage.
Visions® bloom in the summer weeks and stand tall on sturdy stems above the mounds of lacy, finely cut dark green pointed-lobed leaves that have a bronzy overtone. These robust perennials are easy to grow and work great as ornamental foliage plants all on their own.
The sturdy stems and showy blooms not only look great in a grand bouquet and last for a long time in the vase, but when left outdoors, Visions® will attract hummingbirds and butterflies galore!
Astilbe is considered to be disease, deer, and rabbit-resistant, and handles USDA planting zones 4-8, growing 24 - 30 inches in height when in flower, but the foliage mounds spread 15 - 24 inches wide.
Landscape Application:
Plant this amazing little plant in your shady Cottage gardens, mixed perennial borders, and in accent groupings, or rows around your garden beds and borders as edging. Pollinator borders and cutting gardens are no-brainer locations for these showy fluffy flowers!

In smaller settings, Visions® put on a show in urban courtyards and small-space gardens, or even container gardens on porches, patios, and balcony gardens in the shadier locations around your yard!
Plant this showy perennial for beautiful summer color in shady areas, beneath the canopy of trees, or around the base of large shrubs. You will be delighted to see how this plant forms a graceful perennial border, or add to shade gardens with Hostas and Ferns!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
While most Astilbe handles moist to high-moisture locations, Visions® can be more tolerant of drier soil settings. Astilbe are most successfully grown in a shady area, be it in partial sun, partial shade, or dappled all-day shade, and loves some morning sun and a bit more sun, especially in cooler climates. Visions® prefers moist, humusy, organically rich soils but you will find Astilbe to be a bit more tolerant of drier soils when in more shade. A moist, well-drained area is a key feature for growing a healthy plant. To keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, because the old foliage helps protect the plant from the winter damage, instead prune down in early spring.
- Long-Lived Perennial For Partial Shade
- Cold Hardy & Widely Adaptable
- Moisture Loving
- Prune In Early Spring
- Deer & Rabbit Resistant
