Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

So round! So firm! So fully packed! The gorgeous purple Ambassador Allium (Allium 'Ambassador') is here to make a statement in your spring landscape! Standing up and standing out, Ambassador will become the prime representative for your bees and butterflies and the occasional early-arriving hummingbird!
Roll out the stately welcome the late spring to early summer flowers with these perfectly round, heavily saturated clusters of starry blooms! Standing tall - nearly 3-4 feet tall - the sturdy stems hold the tightly packed florets aloft for everyone's enjoyment! Backed by an upright clump of grassy, hollow foliage that tips its hat to the Alliums onion family relations. While the leaves do carry the oniony scent, the blooms don't!
Gradually spreading into larger and larger clumps from year to year, these perennial flowering bulbs create small colonies of incredible blooms! Cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 8, Ambassador is fast growing and has very few pests or disease issues! In fact, Allium are incredibly low-maintenance high-profile accents!
Planting and Application:
Ambassador Alliums blooms add color for several weeks and are perfect punctuation marks for the landscape! For formal plantings, Alliums are amenable to more structured and with architectural stature. Plant evenly distributed clumps in front of a backdrop of evergreens or in rows along your paths and walkways! Ambassador adds a reserved, yet showy and ceremonial focal point as a back border or as an accent for architectural interest.
Once the blooms fade, its spunky seedhead remains. Create a fun garden by spray painting these seed heads in colorful paint to create unique garden 'art'! Plus Ambassador Allium is an absolute must for Rock gardens, Cottage gardens, or gardens where children play and learn. Make a statement by lining the path to your door with Alliums, your guests will feel like they entered a fantasy land! Allium are of course one-of-a-kind floral bouquet specimens! They also make a perfect purple focal point when planted as a middle border or in a cottage garden!
Create incredible container gardens with these vertical thrillers, even a window box or planter will become fanciful with these additions! Any sunny patio planter, balcony, or terrace garden becomes something magical!
- Large Perfectly Round Purple Blooms - Packed With Florets

#ProPlantTips for Care:
These showy and fun Alliums reach their full potential in full sun and fast-draining soil. Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy and add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Their blooms last for weeks and they naturalize and spread over time unless you deadhead after the flowers fade. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Once the foliage yellows in the summer or fall, you can then prune it to the ground.
- Full Sun For Strongest Growth
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
- Deer Seldom Bother Them
Ambassador Allium is here to promote your garden and make it stand out among the others on the block! Hurry and order these large, high-quality bulbs from Nature Hills today and we'll ship them to your doorstep at the proper fall-planting time in your growing zone!
