Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

As part of Nature Hills' aim to sell 'Plants that Stay Put' line of offerings, we’re excited to introduce the PowderPuff™ Spirea (Spiraea x 'NHN1BH') as our first seedless selection! Seedless plants are all the rage, as they can safely be planted anywhere without the concern of the plant escaping into the wild and become invasive.
The green foliage is beautifully serrated and oval, and in the fall it will dazzle you with orange and red coloration late into the season. The refined form of the soft pink flowers is born in clusters that cover the plants on each branch tip. The florets open soft pink with a raspberry-colored eye casting an overall soft pinkish-lavender color.
The sterile flowers arrive in June and are a favorite of butterflies, beneficial pollinators and even hummingbirds! When the first round of color finishes, if you give your plants a slight haircut by removing the old flower heads, you will be rewarded with a whole new rebloom. A breeding breakthrough allows a super hardy, adaptable, smaller, flowering shrub that is low-maintenance in USDA hardiness zones 4 through 8.
Planting and Application:
This seedless Spiraea works well as a foundation plant getting only a few feet tall and wide. Its spreading form makes PowderPuff™ Spirea a nice plant for massing on a hillside or embankment, eliminating mowing on those dangerous sites. PowderPuff™ also makes for great, short, informal hedges near patios and other sunny locations. Anywhere you need these airy, baby pink blossoms and their mist-like appearance within the landscape.
Add bright color and brilliant contrast to mixed-shrub borders, or snake throughout a cottage or perennial border for updated color without sacrificing space! Staying small and compact on their own, these are naturals in containers and porch planters! Sure to add living sunlight to your home's front entry or cheer up a humdrum back patio or seating area!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
You'll get the most flowers out of your Spiraea in full sun but will tolerate part shade. PowderPuff™ Spirea is easy to grow in almost any soil as long as it is well drained and will appreciate additional water during dry periods. Prune out old limbs in late winter and shear the old flowers as soon as they are spent. Nature Hills uses Plant Sentry™ to ensure plants are shipped to where they won’t get into trouble with your environment.
