#ProPlantTips For Care
Keep Maidenhair Fern evenly moist at all times. Make it a habit to walk by your Fern daily and gently pat the top of the soil, just to assess their needs. You'll gain a touch for knowing when it's starting to dry out. Top off the plant with filtered water as needed, allowing extra moisture to collect in a dish after it drains from the drainage holes in your pots. Avoid allowing the plant to dry out completely, nor sit in water which can rot the roots. You'll likely lose it, and no one needs that heartache.
Ferns grow outdoors in warmer growing zones 10 and 11, where there is no chance of a freeze. Tolerant of bright light as long as it is indirect, they must be kept away from direct sun. Ferns hate dry air and should be placed as far from air conditioning units and drafts as possible. Misting them or placing them on a tray of rocks you can keep filled with water for air humidity, will help so much to maintain this magical Ferns environment!
Requiring moist soil that is rich in organic matter, and they must be well-drained soil. Any containers they are in must remain consistently moist and also have drainage holes to prevent too much water. Avoid clay or unglazed terra cotta pots, as they tend to wick moisture away quickly.
It's normal to see new growth emerging and replacing older foliage as it ages. Continuously renewing the delicate foliage for the freshest, cleanest look.
Give them tender loving care and appreciate them every day, and these enchanting beauties will reward you with an airy refinery fit for a fairy. Order yours from NatureHills.com today!
